Found this interesting article on Monsanto, not real flattering. Was  wondering what all the fuss was with many countries banning the use of their gmo`s which involve the poison Roundup as a herbicide to kill off the bugs, plants and people bothering the crops.

that article is just a little biased dont you think?

There is nothing wrong or evil about the GMO seeds they make.   They still do a lot of traditional cross pollination btw.

they select desireable traits in the corn/soybean/ect.  higher yielding, faster til harvest, bug resistant/more sugar/starch..

whats so bad about that?  the worlds population is growing so fast, and the land to produce the food isnt.  people are going to need the food and not want to pay 10 dollars for a loaf of perfectly good bread.

but enough about that, id prefer to hear comments about the stock price.

i notice your shorting MON on the Q3 contest.  why?

Yes there is, when the EU closed their doors to flax seed where was monsanto or your greater evil cargill's of the world?  If nothing else they will destroy our markets by commercializing GM crops within north america, without being approved in our major export markets.  Contamination with non GM seeds is inevitable.

I noted a growing list of countries who are banning the use of GMO's , only a matter of time before Canada, Mexico and South America see the light.

Have a little roundup on your cereal , see how that makes ya feel.

So yes i see MON business faltering....

out at 1.75.  looking like it might breakout of the wedge to the downside.  would of held my puts but not sure what will happen over the weekend with the debt ceiling talks.

its mainly western europe that bans GMO's.  but its here to stay so better get used to it.  you eat gmo product everyday but u dont even know it..

GS raised MON from Buy to Conviction buy.

gapped up and held 75 today.  next trading session will be telling.  I snagged some 75 august calls at 2.15 in case it wants to run higher.

trading strong.  i think good chance of new highs this week.  looking to unload my calls when it does.    its a hot sector.

new highs. :).  looking for a nice pop over 78 tomorrow then will probably unload my calls then.

MON has saturated its price after some ups and downs in the near past. From the graph it is apparent according to my experience in trading that there will be no surprise if it breaks the 90 barrier this time. So investors stick to it if you have enough patience. It is based on agriculture. So no issues with this company in near future unless Almighty desires.
