I love this stock! Its a great company to have in ones portfolio!!

 

For the period ended May 31, Oracle reported net income of $3.5 billion, or 69 cents per share, compared with net income of $3.2 billion or 62 cents per share for the same period the previous year.

Earnings on a non-GAAP basis were $4.1 billion, or 82 cents per share.

Revenue rose by 1% to $10.9 billion. Revenue from new software licenses rose by 37% to $3.98 billion, while hardware sales were up 9% to $977 million for the period.

Analysts were expecting non-GAAP earnings of 78 cents a share on revenue of $10.89 billion, according to consensus estimates from FactSet Research.

The company also declared a quarterly dividend of 6 cents per share.

On its call, Oracle said it expects new software licenses to growth between 5-15%, without adjusting for exchange rate fluctuations, for the current first fiscal quarter. Total revenue growth is expected to be between 3%-6%, based on the same metrics.

Oracle Inc.’s better-than-expected results for its second fiscal quarter on Tuesday were a nice holiday surprise for investors, along with a forecast that its hardware business will “turn the corner” next quarter.
