How is everyone doing? - Page 3

Fortunately I turned my mutual funds into cash 1 st week of may, and selected buying into PLE, URA, EFR, IUC, BMD . BMD was my only really big mistake, down about 30 % there. But up about 30 % overall on the RSP account.
The trading account is up 50 % thanks mainly to PLE, EFR. The rest of the juniors have been mostly sideways.
All in all , I'm still happy with returns and am still long.
Thanks Lornecal

1500% gain in 8 months Holding steady with CLBE. Bought into MTNA again at .05 (sold it awhile back at .18) Looking forward to a huge run with it again. Held MTNA,WWEN,NHYF,NNLX,PMXX,TNOG,INSQ,GFCI,ABZT,GRWW all at the same time. Had to thin out my portfolio, got too big and a real chore to manage efficiently. Missed a big run with PMXX .05 ----.97 (in hospital) and couldn't deal with it! That's when "being patient" doesn't pay.(pun intended) Hope the Fall market is profitable for everyone.... Looking forward to Tuesday and beyond......GLTE

I'm up 45% since end of April aftering jumping in using bonus money from work. EFR and PLE are my biggest papaer gains and CAX is my worst - but I think CAX will be in much better shape come Decemeber. I like to hold between 5 and 8 stocks to diversify and spread the risk but those days when all are up are wonderful!

This BB has been a great source of help and information and I really appreciate all who contribute. Money is coming back in to the market again, NR's can result in big pops in sp, I think will be an exciting few months ahead. GLTA

Yepper Oto,
I vividly remember reading your post and thinking, "That is interesting. I wonder how he knows that." In hindsight, it would have been great to choose which stocks to get out of and into cash with but had I chosen poorly I would have missed a few good runs that went on through the summer. Namely EFR. So although good ol' hindsight is 20/20 i am happy to take a 60-70% gain over the possibility of a 100% gain or a 20% gain. With that said I now understand the reasoning behind your advice of April and will be more aware come next year.
That mistake was the best teacher I could ever have had. Funny how experience works.
Thanks for looking after us Newbies. I know you sometimes take crap from people but realize at least this newbie appreciates the tips on 'how to' at least as much as the stock tips.
