How is everyone doing?

As this is September, the official start of the market again, after summer doldrums, I thought I would start a thread to see how people are performing since January 1 percentage wise. I am up about 190%, with PLE accounting for over half.

I am up about 50% as of today, AGX has accounted for a big chunk of that gain along with FV, ARR and a slight gain with REM. I also did very well with MMI and playing swing trades with it.

In SKE, SGN, SGM and BMC as my biggest plays today so defintely not complaining. And it even looks like DNR might make a move soon. <g>

You have had spectacular plays calgarylady. good going chris, you have done well this year as well.

I'm in PLE, REV, EFR, URA, SGX and NSM. Overall very satisfied with over 70% gains overall. EFR is my first 5 bagger ever!

Looking forward to the Fall runs!

Much better returns than a GIC or mutual funds!

Thanks to OTO and HERB!

I am up around 100% on the year ... August was looking like a another good month, but SOM.UN took me for a big down spin.
Up about 110% TSC, CHX, SMD, ELO, CLBE, SLK. Looking fwd to fall, as I sold most of these stocks at their highs and rebought the past few months.
Mostly thanks to you Oto I'm currently up just over 85%.. I've held 3-5 stocks over the year, the biggest gainers being NSM and GPR having held them since the start of the year and a bit before.. CCU was good to me for its run up (sold early, before them big run-up), PAX on its initial run-up and now again as it gains momentum. I sure am glad the doldrums are over, I was hit fairly hard but held my ground for the most part with limited selling through the summer and the gains have come back in bunches this past month or so.

Thanks OTo,

I have taken a lot of the advice you have given me and put it to use. I think September is going to be a great month. AGX is up to .195 as we speak right now, I bought in at 10 cents so almost a double for me

Can't complain, up about 70% on my Canadian Jr's alone the past year. AUN, MGA, EFR, ELO, SGX. Should be a good fall.

Hi Oto,

I am up 85% so far, and am looking forward to the rest of the year. Thanks
to PLE the last few weeks were very good and PLE has become my largest holding. Looking to see where to diversify some of the profits.

dude, you have only one stock? that's not a bit risky?
My "investment account" which I buy and hold for longer term are doing so-so, up about 18%. My "trading accounts" which I buy penny stocks are up about 65%. For the record, my "trading accounts" usually does better than my "investment account". Now I wonder is "investment" really a good thing?

LOL looks like im the only one in negative territory! I about 10% down , I hope that will change in the coming months. My biggest loss is so far on ARG and i thought it was my safest play lol
Im not an expert Canadian dude but I agree with Oto being in one stock is really risky! JMO

I'm up exactly 100% with a credit line.
Not factoring in the LOC, I am up 550%

My mutual funds are doing crap though.
Long terms are so-so, anything thats for quick gains is showing GREEN.
Current portfolio sits @ 49.8% in the green. That consists of ELO, PLE, SGX, CAB and JBO. Looking forward to a great September.
