i am sure alot of you guys have lost some money trading these stocks that are traded here. most of them are speculative and very risky. even the (stock gods or the pros had). the best way is to leave some room for other stocks. for example, if you have 30K then invest 10K in penny stocks and the rest in medium cap stocks. what would you do if the stock market crashes and you loose your money?!!!. you would be screwed right?
so be careful with what you invest in and good luck for all of you

Captain obvious is a better name than knowsnothing.

If the stock market crashes; all stocks take a hit. Doesn't matter if they are speculative mining on the venture or producing majors on the TSX.

All stocks are a risk, there is nothing guaranteed on the stock market.

Everyone has their level of risk and only the individual can decide what that risk is.

i am not only talking about mining company. or should we change the name from canadian stocks to mining stocks!!!. i am talking about investing in different sectors and not only in mining sector.

p.s. the name doesnt mean anything to me, what you know you know, and what you dont you dont regardless of your name.

Just a little advice on board etiquette . Please refrain from the over use of large fonts , captial letters , or general overemphasis especially when stating the obvious. Assume that many here actually do have a clue what they are doing in the stock market . Being new to this forum I suggest you take a little time to test the waters with other members first. Oh and by all means enjoy yourself here at HSM , were happy to have you .

Knowsnothing. I think most of these conversations could go on in the lounge or in the stock market university. This thread is supposed to CDN stocks and TSX specific. Your threads could be for any exchange. JMO
