XOM - Exxon Mobil - Page 14

Yeah definetly, ill be locking in profits quick.
But will be looking to buy FEB calls if this thing gets back to 69's
post #262 of 868
Just bought back my feb 70x calls for 1.60. I have stops set at 1.40. I feel like this is setting itself up to gap up above resistance and run to 72 at the very least.

You think they'll let it run up like that before expiration?

I bought feb calls. I'm not touching Jans in anything but daytrades.

Yeah i saw that i was just wondering if you meant seeing a gap by friday, I think they'll try to peg 70 friday, but news or just big buying could put an end to that.

I went ahead and picked one up at 1.59 and plan on getting some more later this week, i just dont want to give up the theta if it sits so close to 70 for the rest of the week, but i also dont want to miss out on a gap if it occurs.

Yeah, this might get pinned to 70 for sure. I just wanted to be in for any gaps.

Yeah im with you chris, although i do have 10 jan 70 calls on a little gamble hoping for a gap up tomorrow.
I hope that works out for you. I think this ultimately will get pinned at 70 as mentioned.

Any opinions on how the lower oil prices and increased inventory are going to affect XOM?
Oil prices barely effect XOM. This is widely known but i don't have an explanation.

Bought another Feb 70 Call at 1.35
alright, i'm in feb 70 call too. Good luck to all
post #272 of 868
Picked up some calls at 1.36

Oil back above 80
Getting hammered here today.
IV did some damage on the calls also.

Maybe they'll sit this right at 70 and i can drop one of the calls for profit instead of holding them all over the long weekend.
Wow yesterdays doesn't even compare...
68.90?

Feb 70's are at .90,
Trend hast broken yet and i'm in deep.. Cant decide if i should hold over the long weekend.
I was stopped out today for break even on my shares. Small loss on my options. Should hold the lower trendline at around 68.5 but I'm waiting until next week. Oil has been real weak.
I have been watching this stock for a couple of weeks, but as Crazed98 has said oil does look weak. I would love to own this name. Thinking of possibly buying it at the trend line with a stop loss set below it.

Yeah im with you riley, pretty unlucky that we saw two up days in the market, and no up days in this, i kept averaging down and now all my capital is tied up.

I actually see another quick pull back down to 67-68 before any rally, but I do believe it'll rally up to around the 72-74 range as soon as we can break its resistance at 70 and I'm confident that'll happen either late next week or the week following that. There's really not a whole lot of signs pointing towards a gap up just yet.
Personally I think I'm going to load up on some more calls early next week.

Nice run today, positive divergence with a couple different indicators.
Looking for a run to 70 to dump my calls at break-even
Easily could of avoided the loss but oh well
Mid 68's would've been the right entry
