Dang, I just got paid $3k and Apple is up over $600. Dang, why couldn' I have da money sooner. Probably around $580 I'll pick up more shares

This is a public board and I have already corrected the inaccuracies in your posts for the viewers here that may have been confused by your FUD. I have already stated multiple time that I agree with you for the most part, but unfortunately your posts are misleading. This is not a pumper board, but I will treat your posts as such and I will not hesitate to correct inaccurate information. It's not just you so please do not take this as a personal attack. You may have noticed the post above where I explained about iPads in public high schools.

Lol just read this. Good day to you too :D, Im an investor and I've been buying apple for the past 2.5 years going on 3. Im not "pumping it up" as you say, just optimistic on the stock, plenty of cash, low P/E, great earnings growth, wide economic moat. Just very happy to see that I was right in my prediction when it was at $280 when I started buying it. Despite the doom gloom euro crisis/"recession" on CNBC blowing all the hysteria out of proportion, I was merely stating the facts of my research in order to help others. You still didn't answer my question on why you "short" instead of buying options. I am genuinly curious, although I am no high and mighty "hedge fund manager" like yourself, I thought the use of options were more effective for many reasons. If you could please clarify :D.

 

PS why can't we all make $hit loads of money off Apple :D, good day investing, I don't trade :)

Yes you posted facts, but you also posted false assumptions that do the opposite of helping others. I did not deny the facts that you posted. In fact, I have repeatedly stated that I agree with you on multiple points however I just wanted to clarify a few incorrect statements made on your behalf. Also, I already stated that I short via options in my personal trading account but when it comes down to it, shorting is sometimes much easier with a scaled up account size. I'm sure you understand the inherent risk of buying $100,000 worth of options. However just to clarify even further, probably 3/4 of trades in my personal account are options trades and probably half of those trades are selling spreads.

 

Congratulations on your net gain of $3000. Must be exciting for you.

Not mine. One that got away.

Could have purchased it for 15k back in 1973, but didn't have the available funds, unfortunately.

Was available for sale in 2010 for a mere 495k!

Took some profit near 620 this morning.

AAPL has had an almost straight up move since reaching a low near 565 seven days ago.

A pullback at some point would be quite normal. GLTA! cool.gif

I think there is a very strong chance of that. Could happen this week. I give us a 78.6% chance of hitting $625 by 7/24  (with a + or - 100% margin of error).
