Good luck Kal! I don't see much downside to AAPL at this level, but my only fear is if the market declines (not hard to imagine since we are at year-highs) it could pull us down further.

I picked up a May 11 590 call, hoping for some upward movement tomorrow or early next week.

Hey guys a newby question here.  I been playing AAPL for a while and have done quite well, but wanted to learn a lot about these puts and calls.  Whats the best place to start?  Seems most of the discussions on this forum aim towards these.

I don't think Facebook will be very successful long term. In the first few weeks/months it will be more popular amongst investors than AAPL but then they'll sell their Facebook holdings and get back into apple.

aapl has lost momentum.

people like this don't really make sense to me.. apple is up over 70% in the past few months, it takes one month to cool off (like its done numerous times before) and they think its over..

The 3rd candlestick rule applies again, lol. +$5k so far

I'm thinking of buying some weekly calls right now, I think that AAPL support is strong at $570 and we might end at around $580. Thoughts?

im SO lucky i ended up selling my calls before yesterday's close , a friend from this forum convinced me and sold em in the last minute so today i could buy puts and ++profit

Short term downtrend is in force!

If AAPL closes today near it's lows, a test of the 550 - 540 area is possible.

This thing has been in a downtrend for over a month, lol. Besides the day after the earnings report came out, this has either ended the day flat or down by over a percent at least.

Don't fight the trend.

Interesting read. I hate articles that seem to say there is a 100% chance of a stock going up to X, but it's hard to not see upside given the company at the price.

 

I am definitely going to be moving more toward longer out positioning since getting hammered by the recent downtrend.
