AAPL - Apple Inc - Page 536

$561. frown.gif  Haha, as soon as my options expire saturday this will fall. Start buying puts for next week, major sell-offs to come! Strike should be $530.

This AAPL break out has been epic in proportion in terms of market cap. Plenty of analysts will justify it as perfectly fine, but they are also sitting on millions of dollars long on the stock.

Im watching the daily volume bars, the past few sessions have seen new highs on the stock with decreasing volume. If this continues, add some warning flags because that indicates less people willing to pay these prices.

its funny because i logged on for a quick question to all you who follow apple options.  im looking at the april options, just because im curious about the options.  am i correct when i see that the April 665 calls just shot up in value by 100+% ?

ex.  April 665 call @ 1.40, change of +.77

are the calls this volatile? or is this based on today hitting a new high?  is this common?

im somewhat new to options so maybe im looking at something incorrectly but it seems the apple calls are where the action is at?  again, im not into options like that, still trying to get my account up for options but im very curious

World is addicted to phones, tablets and on-demand TV. Apple knows this.

With the price of the old iPad 2 dropping now, Im thinking of getting a second one.

Damn you AAPL!

I remember back in my day Apple had a nice support level at $360 and a nice resistance level at $400. And it was wonderful. You could trade it to your hearts desire and rarely end up losing money long or short... My, my, those were the days.

yea..i thought the 520 area was going to do that too......

Boom.

Somethings up?

I'm -$24,000 or 890% with the sell to open calls I wrote. They expire Friday. I have never lost this much money, hell if you combine all the positions I've exited in two years the losses don't amount to this much.

how many contracts did you sell and at what price / strike / month?

and by loss do you mean lost gains.. oh shit.. you mean you wrote naked calls?

its all low volume man..this is a fake rally...

at least buy tomorrow...

venom wtf thats alote of money

AAPL313

Well as we can see  here, apple seems to be going up. So what I would advise is to go long with everything you have! It's obviously never going to come down again so  you might as well put your life savings in it.

I'm STILL trying to figure out why you didn't close your naked position one of the many times it pulled back. What are you going to do if it continues to go up? I realize your expiry is this Friday, but it has been moving $5-$15/day, in a clear uptrend. The resilience of Apple is ridiculous.

I'm STILL trying to figure out why Apple has risen so much. It isn't doing anything differently than before, the IPad and Iphones are still coming out with newer generations but that is expected and has been going on for several generations of those tech pieces. I understand AAPL should be going up but that doesn't mean it should rise 5-20 points every day.

You can question it all you want, but look at the S&P overall... 1260 to 1390 in a few months. Everyone said pullback, everyone said test below 1300 again, but yet it continued going up defeating all sorts of logic. Even though I don't really see it, from a valuation perspective and the amount of cash they have on hand, the stock is "cheap" by those means. At the end of the day, don't fight the trend--it's clearly up until proven otherwise.

I never expected it to hit $568 two weeks into March when it started February with a stock price of around $458. Had I gotten calls from then I'd probably be driving a Ferrari 458 by now.
