Dr. Marco Gambacciani, M.D. Joins Bionovo, Inc. Medical Advisory Board

Bionovo, Inc. (Nasdaq: BNVI) announced today the appointment of European menopause expert, Marco Gambacciani, M.D., to the company's Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Gambacciani is Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of the Menopause Research Clinic at the Santa Chiara University Hospital in Pisa, Italy.

"We are honored to have Dr. Gambacciani join our Medical Advisory Board given his well established expertise and publication record in the field of menopause research. We are eager to work closely with Dr. Gambacciani to advance Menerba(TM) through Phase 3 clinical testing in Europe. With Dr. Gambacciani's assistance, we will seek European Medicines Agency (EMEA) regulatory approval for our drug development pathway of Menerba," said Mary Tagliaferri, M.D., Bionovo's President and Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Gambacciani stated, "It is very exciting to participate in the late stage clinical development of Menerba for the treatment of menopausal symptoms. Bionovo's novel selective estrogen receptor beta agonist has shown great promise in Phase 2 clinical testing to effectively treat hot flashes and Menerba's safety profile appears superior to currently available hormone therapies. I am eager to launch clinical testing in Europe and believe, if approved, Menerba will be in great demand by women seeking a safe and effective treatment for hot flashes."

Dr. Gambacciani graduated in 1978 from the University of Pisa and finished his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1982. In 1986 he completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at the Department of Reproductive Medicine, University of California, San Diego. Since 1987, he has been serving as the Director of the Menopause Research Clinic at the Santa Chiara University Hospital in Pisa.

Dr Gambacciani is also a member of numerous national and international professional societies and he has served as a Member of the Executive Committee of the International Menopause Society. Dr Gambacciani is currently a Member of the Executive Committee of the European Menopause and Andropause Society. He has been a guest faculty member, invited speaker, visiting professor and course director worldwide at many prestigious institutions. He is author of over 120 papers published in peer reviewed international journals. Dr Gambacciani's clinical and research focus includes various aspect of gynecological endocrinology, contraception, biology of menopause and perimenopause, and osteoporosis as well as the risks and benefits associated with the use of estrogen-based therapies.

Just picked some up at .49 as a starter. I like the potential. I love that PR above. "menopause expert" lol. My dad said he should be on the board as well, after being married so long to my mom.....lol

We gonna get a breakout here?

level 2 has been very interesting today. They have been keeping the spread wide w/ no bid support showing(does not mean there is none there), yet continual buying larger blocks at the ask all day.

.55 is the key

Yeah, still holding. After a lot of wild trading on my behalf, I'm learning to be a little more patient, and I'm actually enjoying holding instead of being in and out so often. The last stock I found was ANX at .10 and I sold at .12. That's not happening here with BNVI... screw that!

Looks like we are waiting on an announcement from the company in regards to the FDA giving the ok to the design of phase 3.

I flipped out from .49 to.54, but am now trying to buy back in. I like this long, just a matter of time before PR and a run.

back in .54 for first position. It could float back down today, but after missing cycc by 2 pennies (I had an order at 1.03) last day or two, I would rather lose a lil short term, than miss another run....

I know what you're saying! I'm hoping it won't retrace down. A gradual penny here and there as a steady climb would be much more healthy, and could lead to a better breakout when some news appears.

I agree.. Chart looks poised for a break out. I think it was trying to today, lots of orders got filled at .55, .54. Maybe a lot of people jumped into cycc instead. Im still mad at cycc, and pip for that matter, missed my order filling, than had to go back to work...
A pr and away we go. I think the key with biotechs that you like is to buy in 3 stages, so you can average down if necessary. I think I will do that more instead of trying to get the exact price I want, or nothing at all. Last couple of days have made me reevaluate my trading stategies.

You know that if you're not constantly re-evaluating your trading strategies, you'll be constantly losing money. Damn market is always changing and if we're not on top of things we'll get left behind very quickly.

There's still so much I don't know, but sometimes I feel the smarter trader I become, the further away I get from understanding the dumb money that makes up this market.

I would smile ear to ear if this started to form the right side of a cup

Updated yesterday. The only change I see is the start date of the trial from March to June. Does this mean the FDA has agreed to the phase 3 protocol? Anyone know how this stuff works with the updating on the clinicaltrials website? Does the FDA give the start date or does it come from Bionovo?

whoooooa, what's up with the crappy close?
Just manipulation by MM's. Trading .571 x .579 into the close and they end the day with a .55 trade just so they can F-up the chart. When I was trading WAVE a lot last year they would do it all the time with that stock.
