EUR/USD - Page 283

wow if congress doesn't address the tax cliff at the end of the year, the FED can do nothing to offset it .. due to the scale of the increase.  interesting.

wont bode well for the USD down the road

I think I will let this ride a bit longer. Im no convinced we topped today, Ill give it some more room.

How'd you guys like the FMOC release today?

The selloff straight to a pocket demand zone was a nice scalp. My plan was, should the release not surprise us with something new or drastic, to let the initial snap take place and if it came down to that zone I'd grab some within the zone for a scalp with a stop just below the zone itself.

Risked 6, got 12 pips out of it, not bad... thankfully spreads weren't too bad after a minute or two from the release so this kinda scalp was viable (in the minute leading up to the move it saw as wide as 5 pips but tightened back to a pip or so after.)

Nicely done Marty. thumbup.gif

I think the EUR has few more days in this range, then back down again.

i think it goes down tonight, if not then Thursday and no way will it hold the week at 1.32

Its wants QE so Europe has to go into the toilet.  I think EU will also want the jobs numbers before taking the FOMC to heart.

you are welcome again.  upside was the risk upside it went. nothing too crazy tho. for now it is wait time.

Well the upside was minimal, and i feel its BOJ most traders are waiting for now. Shorts are still here..

Let me guess your bullish on that too? .. i can agree but only in a whipsaw reaction as we saw today.

Looks pretty even to me on the opens but compared to monday, the shorts on the long-short ratios have increased.

Mjoke. i still have my long term outlook as bearish on EUR/USD. short term i was bullish but i am now neutral just waiting for the next signal

ya i know circe, but im referencing a shorter time frame. Since you playing 30 pips here and there just wondering if you deem this bullish..  i mean its a pretty weak attempt so far i think, wait until EU opens but eh.. its a guess either way at this point. My opinion i heard nothing to send usd lower really nor euro higher when you look at the week in its entirety.

you are right. the FOMC was actually dollar bullish if you ask me. but again, short term trading is not rational it is mechanical.  mechanics say shorts need to cover still. fundamentals say dollar bullish euro bearish.

Nice ramp this morning to take out all the stops right were I said I would be! 1.362 this morning whacked them all!

Im still in though, this was well telegraphed as soon as I stated where I would be putting stops  tongue.gif

to me, 3242 was the final stand for the bears and now that we broke above, bulls are in control imo until 3183 breaks

actually that 1.316 was a make or break rejection point and has been valid for weeks... which they didnt surpass and was my target before a break down to 1.301.29

Its already confirmed this if it breaches the 1.318

BOJ is pending which i thought BOJ intervention, USD down, Euro up?

Dollar catching a bid, EUR doink and visits 1.3200 again

i need to learn to just hang in my trades.. lol.. closed out most of my short position today on the USD as its BOJ time..

and no thats not peanut butter and jelly time.

Also only hope that the short term players here have.. is the BOJ and that would offset the drop.. or it holds the MA

omg can they intervene already in the JPY.. lol.. then we can see what the spain thingee will do lol.

wow this can get very ugly for shorts if the move on GDP is Euro bullish  the timing would send short covering like crazy

this has every indication of blasting higher today. shorts better hope this GDP send Euro down fast
