I find the least biased world news to be on the BBC. Most biased (IMO) would be FOX.

Anything that is real news. I prefer Australian Papers, and any source I can find through Google News. How come I never hear about anything I find here? It's as if there's a media blackout.

But when did the definition of news change? News was always news. Like CNN Headline News(before the recent change). Just raw news. used to have that on the radio too, believe they still do in philly(KYW).
Now Newsradio channels consists of Glenn Beck and el Rushbo. Cable news consists of a bunch of silly pundits laughing and debating each other. Usually on things no one cares about. I had a whole list of things going on during the day when Hannity was talking about Barbara Streisand! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

I like the BBC too. CNN-HN. I liked DW(Deutscheville). They locked out their live internet stream to people based in the US.

Actually, CNBC World is kinda cool too.

I just like it raw, or in magazine format. No pundits telling me what to think. No staged debates.

Whichever station best fits with your worldview will appear the least biased.

Anyone who thinks CNN or the BBC is the least biased is left of center, anyone who thinks Fox News is the least biased is right of center. Fact is, people have a very difficult time keeping their bias out of reporting. Some might try but it still shows. Most people in television news are Democrat and left of center. Most people at newspapers are left of center and Democrat. So you're going to have a left of center bias.

All you need to do is recognize that and adjust for it.

But don't be naive and think that there is no agenda behind the news. What they decide to report and the way they decide to report it is biased either to the left or to the right, to fit the world view of the producers.

Fortunately now we have the internet with all kinds of links, so with all that competition its easy to find out the truth with a little research.

I for one find Fox News to be the least biased. Can you guess my worldview?

What's the difference between CNN and Fox "news"? I don't see any News in either one. If I watched Fox News today, will they be covering the warlords fleeing Somila and Ethopian troops moving in? Or are there going to be pundits talking about BS like what Murtha said, or what Michael Moore is having for dinner?? I think the last time I watched MSNBC, they had a goofy looking guy asking to drill in the gulf, and an evil environmentalist asking why. The goofy guy with the freakishly unnatural white smile just laughed with large shoulder movements each time without giving any answers or facts or reasons. Yea, that's news.

Per my previous post, the definination of news on cable, and in most radio markets and been altered and grossly bastardized. Out of three examples, CNN Headline News excluded, the BBC is the only one at least attempting to tell me what's going on if you can't bear to watch the wires.

They are all biased period. It is up to you to figure out what is believeable or how they are wording each sentence to look or seem to be. I hope you understood that now I have to figure out what I just said...lol

Edit: I think I might be biased against the news opinionist oh I mean reporters.

I remember some news reporters ran a negative true story on growth hormone in milk products and they got fired for it (chemical corporation didn’t like it) so the fired news people sued news company ( tv station) and courts said news outlets such as tv and print are legally allowed to lie because they are privately owned companies. Amazing huh? The courts decided news stations are allowed to lie.

You can probably find the links to story and court case searching under Monsanto or growth hormone in milk.

edit found one link:

If I remember right, the court eventually ruled for station saying they had legal right to change and edit story any way they wanted.

Oh yea, there was a story on this stuff recently. It was called video something something. Or prepacked news. Special interest groups or organizations would make "news reports" as those little segments in the local news, and sell it to many local stations. They didn't say it was paid industry clips. They keep finding more stations that bought these and ran the propaganda. Several small fines so far(no one cussed, that's way worse than propaganda). If you search around, I'm sure you can find the stories somewhere. Came out 2-3 months ago.

You aren't watching the right shows. The Fox Report with Sheppard Smith for example has a lot of news.
