TIDE - Tidelands Oil & Gas Corp. - Page 11

the only way I see this dropping belwo .80 is if there's a company announcement of a delay in permits. Then investors will want to sell to put their money in something that's gonna get some gains.....then it could dip into the 70's , but only if there's an announced delay or no permit news past mid feb

there is more than meets the eye in TIDE. A very large naked short position. Speulation over 50 million shares worth. That alone if they start to cover on permit approvals could add 5 bucks to the stock. All filings with FERC, CRE, etc.. check out. It should only be a matter of time.

do we see tide fallin below 85? i have some shares but wanted to add some more before the news, just wonderin what everyones opinion was. should i wait for an entry of buy between 85-90?

Hi everyone! I've been reading this thread and it sounds really interesting. This is my first time on investing on stocks, so I hope this is a good grab for my first investment. I was wondering if anyone know if Firstrade.com is a reliable trustworthy broker. Thank you.

Firstrade:

I've been using them for about 8 months (ROTH & Taxable). Not bad at all, considering I started with Vanguard, then Sharebuilder, and now Firstrade. You will be charged extra for orders over 5000 shares.

Phone support is excellent.

Talk about being pissed off today. I put in a limit of (0.845) instead of (0.854) last night which sort of put me out of play. I'm going to get in however.

Tide seems to have much more potential than the Canadian sands because of distance and lower production costs I believe. However, I'm not sure.

My opinion is that TIDE won't drop below .83 before any news. It has stayed strong at .85 for the last few days and if anything, trended upwards. I think we are at the low pending news. Today it touched .90 and based on how it's acting and past performance, I would look for it to hit low to mid .90's next week with people wanting to get in before any announcements.

ok... did what I could to get the lowdown.... made the plunge. Upside looks good so I bought 5k at .88.... lets rock.

Some of you may be disappointed that there will be no news till mid february on the permits.......Don't know how this end of january rumor started but seems to me folks in this thread are really counting on the news coming then... do'nt be suprised if there are delays and a price drop if no news at end of january
post #213 of 1648
I would lay my life savings that permit news will not be here until end of Feb at the earliest. And probably later than that. These things take time my friends.

We can hope. if you are right that would mean the approval time since the appliction was sent to be reviewed would be over 6 months. That seem like a long time, even by Mexican standards.

In good shape to move up Monday.

Right on IE. This is a government decision and lots of hoops to jump through. Early estimates for permit approval were for the first Qtr of '06 which could mean the end of March or it could be Monday.
A guy over at RB said there were more vehicles parked in the parking lot last night than he's ever seen there at night. He drives by the offices on his way home from work. So, either burning some midnight oil or having a Company party, Who knows.

Very Interesting?????

Drove by the TIDE Corp offices tonight on way home from work at 6:45 p.m. (CST). First time I have seen that many cars/pick-ups (this in TX) outside the office that late.

Interesting Indeed......
