Looking like now is the time to buy Ameritrade. Forbes 9th ranked analyst has AMTD as his current pick. Any thoughts?

Looks like a good time to buy right now. It stopped going down. I have been watching this for a while too, only thing that held me back was that it was around $10 a year ago, not to mention the $6 dividend they had, I was afraid that it had much more room to fall.

19.00 break was nice ... looks like it is going to see 20.00 soon.

I still think the stock will fare well depending on the market. The price just broke the EMA and the MACD looks like it's about to bust out.
Below is a one month chart of AMTD and the Nasdaq.

Looks like a double bottom has been formed.
17$ is a support level.

From here on the stock should go up again.

I don't know how AMTD will do in the near term, we are going through a hardcore bear market, and I think subscriber rates will reflect this fact. Also market activity will decrease, I do think its cheap and should be bought for the longer term (6months-1year)

Its been a tad depressing watching this go down so far after that nice divy.

i got in just before the divy and now it nice that things look like they will recover.

The bearishness in the market is weighing AMTD down. As an Ameritrade subscriber I love their service...

I think AMTD will make a strong rebound in the coming months. I would say this is ripe for a rally when the markets turn around, which will not happen as soon as people hope. I think there is a lot of money on the sidelines and when we see some more strength and confidence in the economy and market we will see AMTD become the best of breed online broker.

Short Term Sentiment: Don't Buy
Long Term Sentiment: BUY

a LEAP call (hence, long term buy); other than that, none.

I have AMTD Apex and it is an awesome service but no I'm not going to sink any cash in there I want action in the short term but it'd be a good stock to sink your funds into and wait out the bear market.

rossi, do you know about LEAPS? You can do like a 3 yr leap--it's just a long term call.

If you wanna know more about em ask Chan of GoS cause I've never traded them.

I'm going to hold on to this stock and go long with it. I feel this stock can produce a nice return when the market starts to show better signs. I might even let it drop a bit more and buy some more for the long term. We shall see.

Damn it's down 5% today. Maybe a good entry point.

I remember when he said that about Activision. Exact wording. When he said it, it was at $17 and change. Within about three weeks it was at $13 and it has hardly done anything since.
