We need SPY to break out the consolidation pattern for us to move higher. I'm holding to see if they will break-out. Would be nice to get in the money with the $32 options.

i HOPE this is from the jewish holidays out there...but we dont get a recovery..i think long term we get bearish...

ps i think soros is waiting for the collapse

Too bad you can't cash out until $40 though. Those lofty goals are dangerous to set. I use to do that with support and resistance. "I won't sell until we hit resistance $x" Sometimes it gets real close and retraces

i guess...

lets see what the greek bailout does to euro...

and lets see next week..after the big jew holidays...should give ideas on wat the hedge funds are doing

My thoughts:

Greek Bailout, euro goes down, dollar goes up, precious metals go down.

Maybe even increased liquidation if the dollar pushed up extremely strongly.

I'm still bearish on silver for further correction.

Last Tuesday saw a huge drop in commercial short positions on silver, this is a good read. In the comments there is some debate as to whether or not the drop is great for longs, or perhaps just JPM unloading shorts for the next spike so they can reload shorts to keep the game going. But it's a good quick read.

How many times have the margin requirements been raised on silver now?

Aside from the short covering, I would assume that those mutual funds who got redemption or hedge funds who got a margin calls as a result of the recent price plunge would want to re-allocate some capital into the precious metal. Then again, if you believe the economy will flirt with the likes of deflation for the next few years, there is no reason to hold onto silver or gold.

Slv back up...we have seen this many times hopefully we break
We need a usd drop for the nxt step or for some reason a market rise

Chigga y do u think greek wont bailout germany said yes

Here is another silver analysis, pretty interesting. They say they called the crash and are now calling for a boom soon, but obviously take this with a huge grain of salt.

The us is printing money to save the euro..usd falls..commities move up

Plus chinese currency wars to drive usd lower

Simple as that..the "lines" dont drive fundementals

We havent had the massive run as i expected

And yes the crazy gold talk has subsided

But it should move higher

I also think the gov is forcing cme to increase margins as they know gold prices are set to rise on massive inflation

I think we r in massive inflation state now

I disagree. I think with silver settles in in the low twenties if the economy improves. Industrial demand is down, jewelry demand is down. At $50 silver was extremely overbought. I would be a buyer of silver at $18. Sadly I don't think we'll ever see $5 silver again. Which sucks because I collect antique belt buckles and I enjoy seeking out new artist. Silver is high as hell. What Chinese currency war do you speak of. Certainly not a fixed Yuan?

its deff having a tough time...

gartman says sell..and the guy is a bear!!

the gold miners are doing well...

with a best of both worlds ride in price: gold up or market up...

all these civil unrest makes me wonder HOW GOLD OR SILVER DOESNT MOVE UP!!!!

we are reaching a war status, as riots are getting more and more violent...greece is in flames and now rome...

there is very good chance that a single american riot will get bloody..then we can see the spread like wide fires...

people were going head deep in a god damn libya and egpyt uprising!!!...WTF are those economies based on..an american and eu uprising now that should spell disaster..

im still preplexed...and confused..

(im reading more us gov to holt speculative buys in commodities-- they know something is up)

The problem is you can't compare America with any other country of the world by vast magnitudes. We are the gold standard in a scrap aluminum world, no pun intended. Misguided US riots will not turn violent I hope.  The US has a revolution every two years. Instead of Arab springs we call them elections. I know of no revolution in the last hundred years that has not ended in a military dictatorship, so let us pray there is no violence. The fall of the USSR was no revolution if you want to use that example; it was a bankruptcy. By the way did you know that a properly placed United states navy could annihilate every navy in the world combined in less than ninety hours and own the Earth's skies and orbits in three days (Janes defense). That includes having to defeat Israel. You know one of the last great heavy manufacturing sectors left in the US is the manufacturing of war making implements. No one builds a ship, tank, or submarine like an American iron worker an engineer.

yea..i dunno..im jus dumb founded...

i would have expect american riots to spurr big moves in gold versus wars in egpy and syria

gold and silver are moving 1-1 in line with the market at this point...which is not good for gold bulls...

its only a matter of time before the dust settles and we move lower...

i have sold my gold and silver miners on losses (as its near expiry)

cash on the sidelines here..until nov hits/greek bs is cleared up
