Reverse Split Offenders - How to check?

Thread Starter
I noticed the title of the GLKC thread a few minutes ago was 3 - 1 Forward split, and I remembered that it had done reverse splits in the past. So I decided to check into it.

Without violating the TOS and posting a link here is how to do it. You can google for "GLKC split' or any symbol name and 'split' and you should see in the top few links a thread with the title "Reverse Split Repeat Offenders (RS/RO)" If you don't see any similar thread then the stock symbol probably hasn't done multiple reverse splits in the last few years. The thread at the other place is kept pretty up to date.

Hope this helps keep people informed!

Stocks on the list will tend to have charts like this......

1st of all check a site like pinksheets.com in company info section should be info about share structure changes (if pink sheet company). any other board, the info will be in a quarterly report etc and also you can check on otcbb.com company profile page if its on the BB.

when a company has no info (like a Pink sheet stock might not release info) and pinksheets.com isnt updated, yes the charts will drastically drop when reverse split is issued. and the prices will seem bloated as well...
for example a penny stock with 500M shares is priced at .10 cents a share
and does a 50 to 1 RS (so now 10M shares worth $5 ). the price levels drops off cause psychologically no one thinks this stock is worth 5$ (even though marketcap-wise, its same as before) plus reverse splits mean the company might want to attract more financing(dilutive) by having a better share structure. Anyway the stock drops to .50 cents pretend. the chart never shows it was at .10 at some point, it shows it at that time $5 according to new share structure.
