Investment Books

Hello, has any one read any interesting finance book recently? If so, can you share it with us? I have purchased "The Bubble and the Bear" off the Chapters.ca website a few weeks ago. The book is an account of what used to be Canadians' most cherished stock, Nortel. It was a reminiscence of the rise and fall of Nortel. It gave me a better understanding of how CEO's of Nortel were able to sweep up millions of dollars off the market and put it right into their own filthy pockets. I picked it up for a bargain price of $5.00. Very intriguing indeed, I do recommend it to many new investors who hasn't been exposed to this kind of legal fraud.

Hi, everyone I'm a spanking brand new investor who is wondering if anyone can give me the titles of some good books to learn from. I would appreciate a author that uses layman terms 'cause I don't quite have the 'lingo' down yet!

I'm spending my spare time in the morning to finish up "Barbarians At The Gate", one of the most influential business books of all time, an account of the fall of RJR Nabisco. Though it is written in a third person point of view but the writer could really speak like it was himself telling the story. I give it a 5/5 rating. Have any of you read this book?
