i just tried selling short and it wont let me do that either!! this is stupid, so much money to be made...

thankfully its only down a little bit but scottrade won't let me sell till the new shares are issued so all I can do is sit and watch it!

Call the trade desk - if you can

I obviously can't guarantee they'll have shares but that's always what you do with hard to borrow stocks

Scottrade told me that I won't be able to trade until they have the new shares which should be done by the end of the day.

Damn, now its back down to $20.75

What happened with AIG? Last time I checked it (a day or so ago) it was like 1.50 now it's $20

Curious on how they can happen overnight.

I'm glad I didn't buy any AIG stock I made a pretty profit off it a few months ago then thought "Banks too risky, i'm getting out!" So i'll buy it when goes to 1.00 float it back up to 1.50 sell and then watch it R/S again!

i would have never thought i'd see the day when AIG goes back to $20...hahahaha

dont laugh, told u I am new at this, am still learning. I will never make that mistake again. I now know what a reverse split is and 10,000 shares now are 500. I really did not think I was going to the islands, but knew I had to come and ask you guys the experts for help. ty.
