Yeah, there is nothing better than doing your own DD, research, and developing and perfecting your own trading methods.

I agree with you, it can be fun to compare their opinion with your own on various stocks although I've never based a trading decision on what I've found there.

American Bulls

Candlesticking was a systems developed in Japan to monitor profit/loss from the rice harvests. It has been around for a long time and the patterns that are formed actually produce indicators (buying/selling signals) that are relatively accurate. However, it seems like the alerts issued by American Bulls happen after the fact. So, for me technical analysis (reading charts) and press releases are my first choice for decision making. American Bulls just adds fuel to my intuitive decision making.

I only use AB to confirm my decisions were correct. They're always a day late or more. They just use candlesticks and don't take into account any fundamental values or market sentiment.

I may be new but....

Candlestick Analysis has it's place but it is absolutely not a substitute for DD, or in the opinion of this old dinosaur, good underlying fundamentals of the company.

I use them for leads only.....still do lots of DD

American Bulls is fantasy trading . It is very entertaining and you can learn a little about candlesticks but it doesn't trade in the real world . Every virtual order it makes gets executed at exactly the right price and exactly the right time as determined by it's analysis......it doesn't pay brokerages fees.....it doesn't wait for an order to be filled .......etc . Again entertaining , but learn to do your own TA and you'll be much further ahead .
