NOX - Niogold Mining Corp

Had my eye on this one for a while, must have hit with their drilling or the quotes are wrong(I havent seen any news yet). Still time to get in I think. These guys are drilling around in elephant country in Malartic area in Quebec. Millions of ounces all around them. This one is way up today (I just got in today @.23), but with the small float this should have a ways to go. Sorry I should have posted and got a position a bit earlier.

400,000 shares traded so far today(only 12 mil in float). Gone from .22 to .35; something is up here. This one is really under the radar, barely any posts on Stockhouse for last year and none in 06.

Nice call Teepee, Up 42% today alone.

Thanks Baruss, I almost missed todays run-up (only got filled for 27500 out of 30000), but I feel this one has much more upside. Niogold (NOX-V) finished at 0.31 today, but, at this price, the market cap is still less than $5 million. At 0.31 this one is now only trading slightly higher than the recent PP price of 0.25. Everyone should do a little DD on this one. Potential for the Camflo property is very high. As all of the NSMer's will testify, right now Quebec mining is a hot place to be. This play is very prospective. Any positive news or promotion and who knows? 500,000 shares were traded today, many of the weaker hands are out.

I would appreciate any and all feedback from those that look into this one!

This one had a run-up, got me excited, then settled back down. Seems to be under accumulation now. I have just been waiting patiently for a few months.

Looks like Otobong is one of the accumulators.

my apologies teepee, did not see your start of this thread. i think we must have been buying at the same time as i first got in at 23 cents as well.

i talked to management a while ago and more recently. drill now on camflo west property (took a month wait to secure as rigs in demand). drilling to start april. camflo is more spec than marban, in my opinion, as it is the less explored. that said, they have done a lot of work surveying the area and have their targets in sight. thanks for starting this thread.

ps. company is also doing a financing. units are planned for 25 cents with half warrant at 35 cents (plus force exercise clause). in a way, it is not that attractive but in another way, it perhaps indicates confidence that shares at 35 will be easily reached. another reason for the force exercise clause is to have some control cleaning out warrants in an expeditious manner.

32 cents

this is the quiet elephant in the abitibi. nsm's deal with brr offers a clue. nox has properties near camflo mine (ie near this brr-nsm property), near lapa and contiguous to nsm's midway.
I wanted to add the conditions for the forced exercise clause in respect to 2.5 million dollar pp for nox. Each unit is 25 cents with 1/2 warrant at 35 cents. If the stock closes at 55 or above cents for 20 continuous days, then the company will notify pp subscribers that they must exercise the warrants.

i just spoke to ceo of NOX. take a look at NOX's map. the marban claims flank the the north of NSM's midway property. the camflo west claims are 1/2 km from OSK property. They are trying to join up the two properties by taking out the claims that separate Marban and Camflo West.

Good work teepee, this is surely one of the most prospective plays in the Abitibiti. NOX seems determined to get the financing done in a hurry, to close by April 15. Drilling to start first week of April.

here come the options. step 1.

NioGold grants 275,000 stock options

2006-03-22 19:48 ET - Options Proposed

Mr. Zeenat Ali reports

NioGold Mining Corp. has approved the grant of 275,000 incentive stock options exercisable for a period of five years at a price of 30 cents to employees, officers, consultants and directors of the company. The options are subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.

35 cents!

awaiting drilling annoucement. stock is very thin. MOST prospective abitibiti out there that has yet to start any drilling.
Just sent off my subscription for 100000 pp units at 25 cents per unit. I am getting a bit wary of pps but NOX's drilling program is ambitious and set to start first week of April. Moreover, they have one of the largest land holdings in the Cadillac Abitibi district--and in the core of the district at that, not some distance away.
Oto, what makes you wary?
the four month hold following closing. i like to think the contrarian perspective in any transaction, such as an unexpected bear beating up the bull. i have money tied in in several pps right now, although one is coming up for trading mid-april and the other in may. that basically accounts for my wariness, nothing other than that.

Hey Teepee, Oto or any one with some Nox background would you happen to know if there planning this drill program for a underground mine like NSM or are they looking to model after Osisko with the bulk tonnage?. Seems they have a few underground mines on there property maybe we will see another NSM type modle? But I mean for Nox to do what NSM did I just cant see it happening as smoothly however I know little about Nox Management. Needless to say it should be a good drill play regardless of what type of deposit they are aiming for.

"The Company believes that the properties offer the opportunity for rapid development, taking advantage of a 25-year high in the gold price, as well as offers a strong potential for new discoveries, especially below the 300-metre depth level."

I guess one would assume they are looking at underground deposit. Now are they looking to become producer or buy out?

One things is for sure I like the small float.

hi redbaron, as you likely know, the malarctic-cadillac area is striated by three geological faults--all three happen to run through nox property. it also explains the two main types of mineralization (some argue three) that takes place in this area. one type is the higher grade underground type of nsm. the 2nd type is lower grade open pittable grades such as cmm's sigma near val d'or. osk is bit of a mix between the two but mostly lower grade open pit. nox's properties traverse from west to east north of osk to nsm. as you point out there are several old mines on their properties, especially marban.
the camflo west property was never explored as extensively in part because of fractured ownership. much of camflo was divided among many owners, a significant number which permitted their land to lie fallow. nox's achievement is in taking two years to amass the various claims into a coherent contiguous set of properties. regarding drilling, the initial program is 5000 feet so one would imagine several of the holes to be of a reasonable depth. they are going after a zone that surveying tells them has prospective mineralization. we'll see.

STILL A BUY @ 34 ?
ponyboy, the contributions on these boards i think should be employed for fortification, in addition to individual due diligence. while i like nox, i also recognize it is a speculative stock which i thought in the 26 cent range was reasonable, as i like to worry as much about downside as upside. it is now 34 cents. drilling is to be announced soon so i should expect this trend to continue, but that is just my opinion. obviously i like it to take in 100,000 pp and own additional shares bought in the market.

The famous question...do I buy in or do I not.
Lots of people would like to know the answer to that question...and if it was always right then that would seem great.... but then there would be no buy and sell because everyone would know. Lol

I wish I did though. There are some plays I missed because it was an up trend and I didn't want to chase it, but then it continued to go skyrocket and all along the way I asked myself the same question...will it continue up or not, but didn’t buy in. Others I did buy into, and did well.

However, I am glad I didn’t buy some stocks that were on the way up because they came crashing down. Ouch.

I haven't been in the market for very long (just under a year and a half) but I have learned that it is a betting game, and information from others is nice, but you are the one that has to make the decision. No one is right all the time!

This being said, I would like to thank all those that have provided their insight and some of provided us with some of their dd.

As always i thankyou for your insight, I did however have a longer message to post than that but got distracted by DJE this morning.
