i was lookin at goog today and i like anywhere in the 585-590 area.. a break below that wouldnt be too nice to the longs.

any ideas?

I'm hopping for a bounce (probably dead cat) early Monday for several reasons (hopefully 1+%), but one of them is so I can buy some goog puts. I'm thinking 540's or 530's.

I bought $605 July 21 calls yesterday for $10.60. I don't even want to look at them but I know GOOG will get back up there.

Earnings July 12, GOOG moves big so waiting till after that before placing any bets, but slightly bearish, lot of resistance around ~650:

I might have to stick my big toe in this pond and add some shares. I like Google, its management, and the way it does business...

 

Too bad it doesnt offer dividends because that would win me over. Apple is a better(cheaper) value buy, but I guess you can make some money off of Goog too

Not really applicable considering that they are in two different stages. That has to do with the strategy implemented, because what you may perceive as a better value buy, may not be what longer term trading systems from the institutions that make google's market are computing as entry/exit (s). If they were in relatively similar cycles and stages then it would be much more consistent to compare on a given basis.

 

 Not calling a bottom at these levels for a swing low, but starting to see signs of support imo.

apple better buy?!?! *chuckle* .. i wouldnt say its better.. but comparable..

More so i would buy google over apple any day..

 

James while you wont call a bottom i will with hesitation :)  560 is it .. or a tad lower as the support extends alittle lower.. but its all peanuts below the 560. Needless to say if apple tanks so does everything else... SO i will ask why isnt google a 11% of the index? LOL..

Got GOOG at $562 the other day and will wait for above $600 to sell...great buy so far...

Google Inc. (GOOG) has sent an amended set of concessions addressing rivals' antitrust concerns to the European Union's competition authority, the Financial Times reported Monday.
Joaquin Almunia, EU commissioner for competition, recently told Google Chairman Eric Schmidt to clarify certain points in an initial offer sent about two weeks ago, the report said.
According to the newspaper, Mr. Almunia will decide within the next two weeks whether or not to file formal charges against Google or to begin talks on a settlement.
