NFLX - Netflix - Page 72

Losing some customers is one thing but these numbers are scary:

41% saying they will cancel all together.  Could just be disgruntled people soon to change their mind when nothing else rolls around, but still I'm sure not the reaction that Netflix execs were expecting.

If the AAPL TV set was out right now, this would be a huge problem for NFLX but I'd bet that less than 1/4th of the people that claim they will cancel will actually cancel because there is nothing else to go to.

That being said, did anybody short this pig today?  Seems like it could have been a great trade today.

Showed a little support at 290 (bounced up to 293) but then fell through and fell through rather hard into the low 288's.  Looks like some recent support right around 287/high 286's.  After that, well, 285 seems like a nice round number.

any thoughts for tomorrow?  i sold my puts around the bottom (lucky me).  just contimplating a re-entry on puts, but i just keep staring at the chart.

So hard to tell given this crazy action. Will have to see where it closes, but for now I think there is more downside. I guess the rentry would have been when it popped over 290 on this flash rally or whatever it was. Seems to be drifting back down now.

im holding my tiny batch which im happy about but grrr at its so tiny.

Outlook for holding puts overnight?? not sure if i should?

well its a personal choice, i wouldnt really..

I seem to get burned every time I buy puts with NFLX.  Now I just wait till a pull back happens and buy calls.  Just take a look at the weekly chart and you will see what I mean...

NFLX and GOOG have been doing a good job trading in a sort of tandem lately. I am holding a small batch of 295 calls I couldnt sell the rest of before the sell off. I think we are going to get a nice bounce off of GOOG's earnings tomorrow.

NFLX downgrade, priced for perfection, no room for failure. derp.

Wedbush this morning reiterates underperform, raises PT from - get this - 80 to 100. Nice. This after reiterating underperform in Jan '11 and raising target from 78 to 80. This is like the reverse Dick Bove price target strategy.

Thoughts on option plays here, I can't decide which direction it's gonna go, past few Q's it's been killing it, but like the consensus I feel it may be overbought.  Room for big gap up on positive earnings, I don't know..

Talk about a premium on these calls yawn.gif
