NSM - Northern Star Mining - Page 68

Just think, those poor souls in the PP were locked in until today. The last tree days look like a reversal to me; however, I expect another run at $0.85 and with the sell-off to cover the warrants still on-going, IMO, the odds *look* good.

As was pointed out earlier, NSM seems to follow the general movements of the venture. With gold continuing to drop and the venture potentially finding some more short term lows, I'm on the side lines temporarily. I do like that buying - nice to see insiders supporting the price.

Now I've seen everything.

Awde...err, odd indeed.

The gold seem pretty strong right now also, the dollar is gaining according to the currencies i compare it to, but the gold don't want to fall anyway. How do you see the technical for gold in the near future, Umpulong? Good or bad? Oversold i guess, but the thing is more complex i understand even with the technicals.

Hope NSM will gain some ground, must say that also because that is what we mainly should discuss in here, i personally have lost some money on this, my average is about 1$, but i hope that i soon will recover. I asked about gold i guess in this thread, because i read that NSM right now goes in the direction that TSX does, and i guess that also include the price of gold.

You want to see Odd, look at BRR's chart.
kobe, what do you mean by odd when refering to the brr chat? just curious?
Gaps, leaps of faith and lapses of reason, that is all I see in that chart.
Look and see. Made me begin to have some glimmer of doubt in my absolute favourite, NSM, (all in less than 12 months. ) Anyone else see what I see, or should I get into palm reading and out of stock chasing...

ah , time to take a break from the madness of this little game some call investing.

Hey guys, I've been following along with this thread for a while but I am new to the forum. I've been doing some reading on Norther Star and It seems to be well grounded company with good future. I also just recently bought into this company, hoping it will make a move up soon. All the signs are there, that the correction is over and it should bounce back up

Nice chart work you do Ump.
I am not as optimistic about the Venture Exchange, as you are, but appreciate your efforts to share your accumulating knowledge.

I read once that one should "observe the market as if you have no committment to a particular outcome." Every time I step back, I make better choices.

Last week I got too close and emotional decisions based on hype from some of the best on the other board, moved me to buy. Not a fatal decision. But not a good one either. In the charts lies the truth. If we only look and see
Keep up the good work friend.

NSM firming up support between 0.85-0.95 which is a good sign.

I'd like to add to Ump's always excellent TA insights.

Notice how this played out in the June low. RSI bounced off of 30 and it proceeded to head significantly higher.

Furthermore, it bounced at exactly the same support level as well.

Indicators definitely turning bullish here. It may briefly retreat below .90 again but I strongly doubt it will break below support.

TotalZen has highlighted a 4 month double bottom. Holding it would be a strong indicator. Kobe, I'd like to refer to myself as cautiously optimistic. ;-).
Yes it certainly goes without saying that a stop-loss should definitely be used nonetheless. Somewhere in the high .70's would be reasonable.

Looks to be that way...

Yes, the stockhouse poster is correct i am afraid, and what he wrote at stockhouse is exactly what Mr Taylor wrote in a newsletter to his subscribers this month. Furthermore he don't explain it any further why he is selling NSM, it's just the words the poster uses at stockhouse, nothing more to it.
I think it's pretty clear:

Although I said on ROBTv on September 25 that I thought both Madison Minerals and Northern Star still have upside potential from here...Clearly, these were not the optimum times to sell these two stocks, but a profit is a profit and we will take it.

Jay Taylor is not a technical player--he bought back in 2002 or 2003 before the first run to $1.10 and is now recommending on the verge of deep drilling results? Good work Mr. Taylor!
