NSM - Northern Star Mining - Page 65

B&R, it all just smells bad. I'm only holding onto 10k for the sake of it.

Real shame it has turned out like this. I should have smelled it long ago when the operations update was promised "next week" and never came....not much faith in company IR any more.

Freak, I am no expert but I do consider myself above average at this game. The best bit of knowledge that I acquired about the stock market is when I realized it is the worlds biggest poker game. If you know the game of poker then creating parallels explains a lot.

Why does a person with two dueces push it all in?

Why does a person with a royal flush play lame?

Yes, because the game is not just about the hand , it is also about getting the opposition to do what you want them to do.

I may be wrong but think logically about it. If this seller was selling because they lost faith and just wants out then he would be trying to get the best buck that they can,right?...It is about money.

But yet he only drops the hammer during the day if it shows any sign of upward momentum and he always wants to slam the close. Now why are they doing that? The motivation is not about money obviously because their method yields the least that was available during the day and the hammering at the close backs off the next days Bids which also does not serve a sellers purpose.

It is not about selling. It is about scaring you into selling . Now you have to ask yourself why? Raising the stakes for the sole purpose of scaring?..Hhhmmm..Sounds like 2 dueces to me...I think I will play this hand out.

Will sell all are gold stocks and invest in timber like a great canadian should. oh and if fur comes back onto the market will do that too.

BR,

I watched the same program. I think if a terrorist has a nuc within US borders and uses this weapon the price of gold should be the last thing on our minds. I on the other hand would be a little worried about WWIII! YOu can't eat gold and it won't provide youa "safehaven".

Does anyone know who is behind this?.... (just in case I have money with them.)
I contacted IR and and asked who it is but they said they don't know. Correct me if i'm wrong but when someone unloads over 200,000 shares and effects the share price isn't it the company's J.O.B. to know? I got a "oh it might be someone excercising warrants or a fund unloading".

If anyone out there can tell me if the company has no way of knowing then i can rest a little easy. News on deep drilling is now supposed to be out middle of October. All a bunch of horse %&^* to me now. They couldn't care less about retailer sentiment.

the company has no way of knowing. i know a lot of retailers find this hard to believe but it is so. they often don't even know if an even much larger position is being sold or bought. i do agree with you bhatman in terms of their lack of regard for retailer sentiment. this was a concern voiced not just by me but by others more influential than me when we were up in val d'or. the reply was a bit aloof. but i think finally with the sp the way it is, it is dawning on them. in val d'or, we all said you need to drill. we believe the gold is there but you need to keep drilling to satisfy the market. there was at the time no mention at all of a 30,000 feet drill program and now there is as of the last news release. i have told them repeatedly, the market will bite back any insolence.

Bid is down to .84 cents

NSM has to do something....I'm glad I got out of this one long ago. Riding free shares at the moment so I can afford to ride this one down...but how far down will it go?
The article by Boreal Action roughly coincided with the start of this correction. Whether it was accurate or not, it was simply bad timing. Had they published *good* deep drilling results, I suspect that we would have weathered this storm ala OSK (which, mind you, has taking a beating); however, they did not. You might recall that many were attracted to this play because of Michel's mining experience. Turns out a balance is needed :-). That said, with the assets on their property and the other prospective lands--it is simply not a matter of *if* but when (IMO naturally). Rest assured that if they halt this and release significant gold results on a property set to produce, the big players will snatch up everything in sight faster that you can blink an eye. One comment on TA: We *could* be looking at a double bottom here. The low in June was ~$0.82 and we're there now. That 100k order at $0.80 is somewhat supporting this thought.

200K cross at .83 ... I just love this time of year when they take advantage of weakness to move blocks of shares around.

good analysis umpolung. i have been riding free shares for eons now as most here know, but i still find it absurd. btw, lots of companies holding back news, lots, all waiting for october.

recent articles in finanical post

It looks like the large funds are more keenly interested in producers instead of the speculators. They are selling off positions in the specs to build positions with producers. I can only imagine that these funds are buying companies like NSM, AUQ, CML, RCT and others cheap with all these panic sellers.

just picked some up at .83 - I'm betting this irrational selling will be coming to an end shortly.

From what I recall, Octagon buying was supposed to be a very bullish sign. Octagon has been the 2nd largest net seller this month. Something to be concerned about?

the 100K bid just moved to the top - now bidding .87 – how’s that for support?
Beautiful bottom from a technical point of view, however it remains to be seen whether or not we can now officially shift momentum in the coming days.
lets hope so!
I saw the bid at .87 and now it's gone. Perhaps someone testing to see if the seller really wants to sell or manipulate the market.
