bigandrich's earlier post about the mild weather possibly retarding startup of drilling turned out to be the case. the ground is only now deemed sufficiently frozen for the drilling to begin. they are moving the rig to the lakeshore for startup in the next days. once drilling started, about 300 to 400 feet of depth can be made each day. in other words, the drilling time won't time all that long, not likely more than 3 weeks.

thanks umpolung for the t.a. update.

Today's article in Reuters , supporting strong gold prices
for several years ahead, the headline reads:

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa's AngloGold Ashanti is bullish enough about a strong gold price that it does not expect to resume most hedging for at least a couple of years, a top official said on Wednesday.

The balance of the article is specific and makes a case for no significant retraction of gold prices.
I highly recommend NSM posters read the complete article, which is plainly put and free of the usual vague phrases.

Good day to you all.

Report of Business TV heads up for NSM!!!!

Robert Cohen, portfolio manager for Dynamic Mutual Funds apparently just game a big heads up for NSM on ROB-TV!!!!

(I say 'apparently' because I don't own a TV)
Hmm might have to watch that. You can play the tapes back on the internet, Otobong on their ROB-TV site.

I keep thinking there should be a pullback soon but seems to be more buying pressure than anything.

Mouser, I think very big moneyed people not affiliated with institutions buying up NSM. There have been several tours of minesite very recently. These are so called smart money investors who visit accompanied by their own evaluators. Clearly, they like what they have seen, as evidenced by Robert Cohen comments on ROB-tv, whom I believe also visited the minesite. NSM has a hugely rich gold property (in fact, several) and it is only now starting to dawn on people.

Re: Rob Cohen - Dynamic Mutual Funds - on NSM

He said
"This one is OK"
"Very exciting exploration story"
"We own it through our flow through share program"
"Risk is on the upside"

My notes are accurate. He was not hesitant, very confident that NSM
is a good company.

75 cents!!!

I hope people don't get bored by my mantra, which I have spouted repeatedly since the low 30 cents.

NSM has multi-dollar shareprice potential!

Can't get bored with making money

Thanks for the tip Otobong, this is the second best performer in my portfolio.

The average directional index (ADX) +DI (green line on the chart) turned down a little today as it did when we first hit $0.65 so we *might* stall here for a day or two--the ADX solid line still suggests strong up as do all the other indicators I look at (I'm starting to sound like a broken record).

On second thought, with the ROB TV pump, all bets are off.

Otobong, wrt your mantra: as long as it continues to prove itself true, you can bore us all you want!

Keep this to yourself!

I received an email from NSM insider. He is in New York and a Fund there wants half a million shares. Funds being as they are don't have some guy cherry picking for shares (Personally, I don't know why they don't, but they dont. They prefer one or a few big allotments all in one go.)

Anyways, this insider was asking whether I knew of anyone or any group of people, including myself who was willing to part with shares, presumably for a premium, BECAUSE HE CAN'T FIND ENOUGH SHARES TO SATISFY THE FUND'S REQUEST!

Hang on to your shares!

Hang on

Thanks for that update OtOBong,

Im in since .33 and enjoying the ride.

Well I am hanging on -nice move again this morning-I find it strange that NSM's neighbors CMM arent moving at all-despite having their mine operating. Slated for 100,000 ozs of production this year and exploration has been successful finding higher grades at depth, which they plan on augmenting the mill feed with.
Their market cap now 1/2 of NSM's. Sooner or later they should also get some exposure, although I suspect it will not happen until their yearend report which will highlight the 4th Q results.

Mouser, I don't find it so confounding the difference between NSM and CMM. CMM is low grade open pit while NSM is high grade underground mining. NSM likely has a far bigger resource than CMM, although that still needs to be proven. NSM has additional ground contiguous to Agnico-Eagle's Lapa (a huge discovery) and Goldex (not far from CMM and again low grade open pit). CMM thus far is expensive in terms of gold extraction. They really need to get this down. Also, CMM has had a habit of disappointing--to wit, several nrs about costs to mine have erred badly. That said, with the gold market the way it is CMM will surely have its day and perhaps soon.
