Brien Lundin, head of an influential subscriber newsletter called "The Gold Newsletter", just put a BUY on NSM in a feature in the August issue, just out.

Lundin seems to know what he is talking about

Lundin seems to know what he is talking about...

Gold Newsletter continues to provide its readers with timely and profitable analysis of the precious metals and mining share markets and the economic and geopolitical issues that impact them.

Under Mr. Lundin's leadership, the publication has cemented its reputation as the most profitable newsletter in this sector. Drawing on two decades of experience in the industry and an unmatched rolodex, he has consistently steered Gold Newsletter readers into the biggest winners.
Here are just a few of the jaw-dropping results his recent picks have produced...

• IMA EXPLORATION - 261% Gain. Most mining stock investors have now realized that this company has discovered on one of the world's largest silver deposits. But Gold Newsletter subscribers learned about it well before the first drill results came in...and watched their early investments nearly TRIPLE as a result!

• NOVAGOLD RESOURCES - 583% Profit. Once again, our readers got the early scoop on this company...before it announced a 20-million-ounce gold discovery

• WHEATON RIVER MINERALS - 363% Gain. You might have read about this company - it's merger with GOLDCORP was one of the sector's biggest stories in 2004. But long before the hype and attention that attended this deal...in fact, before the company had a single significant asset...Wheaton River was a Gold Newsletter recommendation.

• LINEAR GOLD - 697% Profit. Prior to making one of the richest gold discoveries in recent memory, this company had only one investment newsletter in its corner...Gold Newsletter. It went on to multiply our readers money as much as eight times over!

• BEAR CREEK MINING - 680% Profit. This company has been one of the sector's biggest winners in 2005. And yet, months before its major silver find in Peru captured the imagination of the analyst community, Gold Newsletter readers had already been alerted to its remarkable potential.

• ANOORAQ RESOURCES...ALMADEN MINERALS...WESTERN SILVER...WOLFDEN RESOURCES...NORTHERN DYNASTY... and GAMMON LAKE soared 370%, 400%, 798%, 670%, 878% and 1,009% respectively. Investors just like you multiplied their money as much as ten times over in these stocks...simply because they subscribed to Gold Newsletter! And yet, there's more...

• PACIFIC MINERALS rose 1,266% in price...soaring 13 times in value. And...

• SOUTHWESTERN RESOURCES rocketed an amazing 1,900%...multiplying as much as 20 TIMES OVER.

The list goes on and on...

It irks me to no end when newsletters keep parading all their winners but never include their (usually higher % of) stinkers which makes such claims meaningless without putting everything into context.

Gap is filled with a nice 58.3k market dump...can you say impatience?
Gap is filled - as Umpolung said it would. Somebody just dumped huge to 0.99.
Well I picked up 3000 @ .99 this am that I did not expect to get. I did not think it would drop sub $1 again.

totalzen, you are absolutely right about newsletter writers but with jay taylor, lawrence roulston, cmr and brien lundin--they do list regularly their entire roster of recommendations including all the losers they advised, so they don't hide this from their subscribers in any way.

bbones, good work getting some at 99 cents.

umpolung, beautiful call.

picked up another 4500 today. One more month until the summer duldrum is done! Lets rock.
that was a nice 800,000 cross. this may have been the reason for the price being held here.
Another 500,000 cross ??!
Someone's looking for a couple percent of the company I'd say. edit: Goldrush: IMO, a lot of technical damage was done to this stock after its rise to $1.49 and so this period of consolidation could have been anticipated. These crosses, however, will definitely speed "recovery".

word is company has a major discovery at depth of 4500 feet. this discovery is consistent with what neighbouring aem found. this also does not include the smaller discoveries (though still very sizable--ie. about 25000 oz lenses) at shallower depths.
Oto: I assume you are referring to AEM's Goldex site. If this is true, we are talking about 1.5 Million oz or more!!!! Is it safe to assume their production cost will be same as aem's ($225/oz)?

thx - Phil

phil, the reference is to aem's lapa, not goldex. lapa is on the cadillac break. i would not go so far to say 1.5 million ozs, as of yes, although potential is at least that figure. they need to prove up things and announce them. very conservatively, i believe the company has at least 750,000 ozs and remember this would not include anything going forward under halet, that is the great distance from the rehabilited shaft to the other shaft where the gold lenses are most likely to repeat the pattern along the break.

Agnico's Lapa Project

The Lapa project is now under construction with initial production expected in 2008. It is located in the Abitibi region of northwestern Quebec, only 11 km east of the LaRonde mine. Lapa has 4.1 million tonnes of probable reserves containing 1.1 million ounces of gold, and further ore potential at depth and to the east.

Together with the results of a diamond drilling program, the ore was estimated to contain on average 10.65 grams per tonne of gold. These results, and results from other sampling methods, predicted higher gold grades than the Company's reserve model from February 2005. These results were incorporated into a revised feasibility study.

Based on a gold price of $450 per ounce, and a C$/US$ exchange rate of 1.25. Based on current estimates of mineral reserves and grades, annual gold production is expected to average 125,000 ounces annually at total cash costs of $210 per ounce.

a note: gold along nsm's midway property is a good .1 oz higher than average along rest of cadillac break, including aem's. the porphyry is especially rich there.

company goal is to mine about 25000 to 30000 ounces, this year. i asked about how likely this would be knowing they did mention this as a goal in an earlier nr. reply was they are 'very confident' about meeting this goal. regarding halet, i don't believe this would start until early next year.
