I just got a Tradeking account.

I have a few penny stocks at Zecco. They record your buy/sale up to .001 for penny stocks. The thing I am unhappy with is that you cannot make sell stop orders once you buy them.

Is this the way all penny stocks are? It basically forces you to watch your computer all day lol to protect yourself against a huge plummet. I am new to penny stocks, but would love to know of an online broker where you can issue sell stop orders or even trailing stops on penny stocks. Thanks.

(Yeah, a lot of online brokers charge commissions on penny stocks, which make them worthless. I would try interactive brokers, but think they require 10k to open.)

What do you guys think about Medefile International and Green Energy Live?

I'm thinking about switching brokers and looking for input. I'm now using SCOTTRADE and somewhat satisfied, I recently transferred my primary trade account to OPTIONSFIRST which is owned by SCOTTRADE and was approved for level 4. The drawback is OPTIONSFIRST does not offer P/M - A/H trading which is a major setback. SCOTTRADE doesnt offer the DRIP plan and that is a drawback aswell. I want all accounts with 1 broker that offers the best of everything. I have A ROTH and 2 trade accounts, my wife and 2 kids have accounts aswell. THANKS......

i just got burned cuz there is no option on sharebuilder for my stoploss to work in AH or PM. is this just not allowed at all with any broker or does sharebuilder just suck?

I was wondering about this. Is there any reason why people don't sign up for an online broker with all the fancy bells and whistles and then execute trades with a cheaper no frills broker?

I'm about fed up with Scottrade. I've been with them for several years now but recently Scottrader seems to be crap. In order to get information to update I have to quickquote a stock that is already on my list. The other day, bids and asks wouldn't update. And now even when I quick quote it, it doesn't update the info. Currently its showing a stock's last at .0024 but listing the high as .0023.

I'm thinking of moving to etrade since their commissions are reasonable and they have streaming quotes.

Anyone have any opinions on this? I'm thinking about calling ST and yelling at them cause I can't trade with this nonsense.

I'm surprised Scottrade is number 1 in the poll after all the bad things I've heard about them and all the names like Scotturd. LOL!

I've been with Ameritrade for many years now and I'm VERY satisfied with them. They have excellent 24/7 customer service and a 24/7 trading desk with brokers available. They have excellent tools with great platforms to choose from.

They bought out ThinkorSwim recently and they have the best live charts I've ever seen including a multi chart view on the same screen! It's also the best around for options and I'm not even into options yet!

Ameritrade also has over $340 BILLION in assets which would put in the top 10 banks in the country if it were a bank!

Does anyone know which of the 3 big online brokers are the biggest? Ameritrade, E-trade, or Scottrade? I'm guessing it's Ameritrade.

Why don't you go with Ameritrade? I've talked to many people and most say Ameritrade is the best and that includes if you trade mostly pennies like I do.

I use Interactive brokers. Very low commissions and low margin interest rate, I haven't had any problems yet and am happy with the platform. It is for advanced users and not recommended for beginners.

Now that Ameritrade has added full Level 2 for all OTC/pinks it's gotten even better!!

Thought of switching from TDA to E-TRADE, mainly for the free comm first 60 days. Anyone else use E-TRADE and are you satisfied with their services. I like TDA and the platform. I was originally with SCOTTRADE and that was a joke. THANKS in advance. EDIT. Tranferred over to E-TRADE and got 60 days FREE trades or up to 500. Like the platform so far and experimenting with it. Left the ROTH with TDA so I can compare the two. No complaints with TDA whatsoever though.

Me too. Their customer service is top notch as they usually bend over backwards to help you.

But when it comes to trading the best thing about TDA is the Think or Swim platform! The charts there are AMAZING! Not only that but it has every indicator you can think of!

I can see why Barron's voted it as the number 1 trading software out there!

TDA will give you a similar deal when you joined with them but you can't expect them to do it again!

I've also heard bad things about Scottrade so HOW on earth are they the clear front runner in this broker survery thread?? It just means they have the most members here but it doesn't necessarily mean they're all satisfied with them. Of course if they weren't satisfied why don't they leave??
