didnt they hire JPM or MS or someone a few months ago to look at "other options"  as in look towards bankruptcy and valueing the assets..

 

They could of course sell the hardware division and focus on software and services.. 

 

I dont think its quite there yet.  Still some downside left imo

10 billion is a bit expensive.  Only thing valuable is the patents and clientele.  I doubt a buyout but selling these would boost the share price.  Its there most valuable asset so i would thinkld h that they would hang on to it as long as they could.. but what do i know.

i dont think any giant can out both

 

nok is a better candidate that people are underestimating

 

id i had the cash id do nok over rimm

 

its the #2 cell phone company in the world!!

 

samsung has their eyes on it

I have the most mixed feelings about RIMM. I don't know if their stock will go to $1 or if they'll get bought out at $3. Look at sprint, they're stock is shit but they still have a large customer base. I dunno, I wouldn't touch this besides a small day-trade.

If Facebook was as interested in developing a mobile solution, they could've saved their money and bought RIMM instead of Opera and Instagram laughing.gif

few weeks ago Herb (cnbc) did a spot on AMZN buying RIMM as they have beethought to be getting in the phone area
