"We think the main options could include the following: pushing out the targeted exit date for fed funds, providing 'exit guidance' on balance sheet measures (i.e. asset sales), various mixes of additional balance sheet expansion (including the possibility of an open-ended QE program) and cutting interest on reserves," LaVorgna says."
Traders forget qe is still going on. The extension of operation twist till the end of the year and the fact that most fund managers are under performing and will have to chase for performance makes sure the market goes higher. The market doesn't need additional qe for it to go higher.
who cares wat the market does.. i think they're prob looking at economic fundamentals in their decision for further quantitative easing

I'm not sure you read my post correctly. I stated at this point even if there is no additional qe the market should go higher based on operation twist, low interest rate, and the real state market coming off from the bottom.

Bit vague for me. operation twist has been running for some time but the market does have its undulations.
As for Tones... after being trapped in a chatroom with him for 6 months I have formed this view..
Exactly. How convenient that the wording of the fed minutes leads people to believe that more qe is coming, on a day when things are looking negative...

Yeah, I used to play this game at bars and clubs...
"Sure baby, Ill take you out for a nice dinner, go for a moonlit walk on the beach, it will be an amazing! .. and yes, I will call you in the morning..."
I sincerely doubt it, unless the market falls into a big correction. Why actually do QE, when you can just *say* you're thinking seriously about it and spur the market?
