Yeah really, from that price you can go way deep in the money and practically be buying the underlying outright, at bargain basement prices.

Gotta say, today is the tightest range I can remember since I was telling people to smell my fingers.

EXK pitching a tent into the close. This puppy is primed for a really good run and the supply absorption all afternoon has me thinking next week will be one of its better weeks this year.

Apple new all time high at $647.30 and climbing! I've been so busy the past few hours that I haven't looked at a single stock. This day looks like a bore though if it weren't for aapl, I'm still chuckling at the price range for SPY.
Edit: $647.77 and I bet we hit $648 for the close.

What a week, Kudos to those that frequent the HSM chat on here, lots of good calls and plays that lots of members took part in and profit was shared. Hopefully next week is a continuation of that.

The biggest was Charulz calling WYNN yesterday morning when the 105c were .02x.06 i think? They hit a high if .65 today. The rest were were "measly" 300-500% plays lol

It does look that way.

Keep in mind that the Russell is lagging the S&P

while the Nasdaq is significantly outperforming both of them.

Short /NQ (Nasdaq Futures), Long /TF (Russell Futures) anyone?

Seriously, what looked to be a dull week merely a few days ago really turned out to be so opportunistic EOW.  It's funny how people stop in and complain when we get involved in off-topic banter when the market isn't giving us much to work with, yet it was all business in there the past 2 days.  What's the saying, when preparation meets opportunity?  Hardest part of doing this as a means of income is sitting on the sidelines the majority of the time waiting for that risk/reward to really skew in your favor, patience really perseveres in this game.  I'm off to get rained out @ Yankee stadium - enjoy the weekend and congrats to all those who got to take home some handsome gains.

Yea, the same people that complain about off topic banter dont provide anything to the chat though. Folks that stop in and ask questions are met with open arms to us trying to help out. Like feel free to stop in and try to coat ride some trades, but dont get upset when we get offtopic during some dull moments in the flat markets lol.

And then we got Tones, who is just there to verify our entry points and unrealized profit from selling early rotfl.gif

This is not true. As an avid chat room connoisseur I must say that we discuss only topics of the highest caliber. In fact, we consistently throw tickers around and share ideas until one of us falls from exhaustion. I speak for all of us that frequent that room when I say that it is not a place for fun and games, in fact, it is a place for fun games. Who needs and? We do both at once. Only the highest quality trades pass through our keyboards. Today, on this Friday of August 17, we had more than 4 bags called out. We chose paper, because plastic is for n00bs and these were not regular bags. These were bags created with our sweat, tears, and blood. We spent countless seconds pressing buttons and inserting orders to accomplish this amazing feat. To those that are in fear and awe at the HSM chat room, fear not, cower in our greatness and join us. We will answer your questions and solve world hunger at the same time. And to answer your question, no Kyle and JB are not actually dating.

And away I go on this pleasant day.

Friday was definitely interesting and hopefully won't be a rare occassion in the chat. What was interesting is that an indicator we use stopped working on Friday.

I just want to temper expectations of the chat a bit.. We call out just as many losing trades as winning trades. One of the last trades I called out on Friday expired worthless (GOOG 580 calls bought @ .20, closed @ .00)... Meaning if you had no idea what you were doing and you were dumb enough to put all your money in the trade, you would've lost EVERYTHING in a matter of hours. So for those newbies out there who think they're going to be able to come into the chat room and make $$$ I would suggest you subscribe to one of the stock god's subscription services instead.

I don't want to hear you cry about how you lost your life saving buying $20K worth of calls on OPEX following one of our trades.
