Stock Market Today: Aug 6th - 10th - Page 21

Oh man. I bought GLD August 10 $157 strike calls a few days ago at $0.73 and they have done nothing but fall the last few days. They even got as low as $0.22 today but I managed to sell them at $0.78 for a profit! Can you believe that, I expected this to be a horrible loss but GLD freaking ripped this morning.

Edit: It may not look like a rip but it did to me because this market has been pathetically boring this week...

I know, I feel so lucky because that rarely happens to me either. But the charts on GLD were so bullish that I couldn't help but buy calls.

VIX is looking pretty bearish and I feel like 140 will be support for next week. It seems like we will be making new highs this month... 145 here we come?

To me it looks like after a week of dreadful low volume chop, there isn't much overbought left in the market and it is ready either for a Friday afternoon ripper or a Monday gap up and run. It really is amazing to me to see the market having run this far and see the bonds still so close to 150 / all-time highs, and the dollar refusing to give back 82. If we get a ripper lasting a few weeks, there is a megaton of fuel.

SPY and ES testing the new channel now. Nice entry forming on MON

SPY 5 min chart showing a couple H&S formations which have worked out perfectly. I noticed the last one forming 10 minutes ago but never played it.I'd go long to 140.30 now.

Welp, it tested last month's highs like I was eyeing.

It wasn't a lot of profit but your execution on the exit was solid.

By the looks of that GLD daily chart, I am suddenly very interested.  Beautiful wedge breakout potential.

Weekly SPY max pain is 140.0

damn nice move on nflx... looks like that inverse h&s on the 2hr played out

NFLX 60 calls from .02 this morning, now .42..
