I can see this happening, but in my scenario analysis it is all pretty much entirely dependent on Nate selling and buying AAPL:

Most funds are long only, so they don't have a choice but to be optimistic or pretend to be at least. Long term buy and hold for them. Dips mean buy more

Speaking of AAPL, it's left its upward channel and I don't like that. This reminds of an astronaut in space who is going out to fix the space shuttle and his rope gets cut and he gets lost in space. AAPL is right now in uncharted territory and I'm really hoping someone reels it back in otherwise we could see this back down to $530.

Here's the daily chart:

AAPL0626

Here's the 15 min chart:

AAPL06262

Here's a daily chart I have of SPY which I haven't changed since April.

SPY0626

I wonder if we will try to retest the lower trendline at around 127 before bouncing off and making new highs... It looks like SPY wants to head lower but 127 is a ways off.

Sorry I'm posting more charts, but it's slow in here.

Here's JNJ, it likes being stuck in the $61-$67 range and right now it's above $67 and showing a few red candles. It looks like a potential short but I'd watch for any more breakouts (or break-ins if it decides to go back in it's channel, lol) before making a trade.

Well we got into the 132's today. But couldn't close above the 20 ma. If we fail again tomorrow then it looks like we should go down to test the 200 ma. If the bulls can manage to get us over that 20 ma tomorrow then I think we can get back to 134.30 this week.

like venom said, it broke the trendline which is very bad.. and the rest of the market went up today and apple goes up a buck.

Apple has been doing very craptastic lately.

I wtf everyday when a stock like amnz or fb can shoot straight up..  amzn has a p/e that is almost its share price!!!  fb has a crazy p/e as well.. how the hell is fb worth nearly 100 billion and apple 500 billion?  Im not getting it.

I don't think the problem is with AAPL and how it reacts but maybe you need to set your chart up differently so you can better judge what's going on. BTW, we all feel like you do at times.

So when are you going to sell? I want to load up on calls... Ok, I'm just messing with you. I feel bad too with how BAC worked out for me. I bought at the very end of its rally and sold all of my shares right before it rallied. frown.gif

I think I got super lucky going all in on full margin on apple in febuary. As of now I am compeletly off margin. Im thinking about just walking away from the market but i would like to sell apple at least 582 and at least break even on this trade. Being off margin I can actually sleep at night. Being on full margin is a very very scary thing, and I dont think im ever going to do that again. I do appriciate and welcome all the advice I get here, thanks.

I am considering just keeping my 24 apple shares and not touch them and hopefully in a year or two my money will grow. However long term if apple drops say in half over time it would ruin me financially. To me long term trading can have distarous results..

Example.. someone who bought nflx at the peak, rimm... i could go on..

yes i do have all my eggs in 1 basket but i think apple is one of the least risky stocks out there long term i could be very wrong though.
