lol kevin... and here i thought it was the lone flat voter (old fart) that won it... i didn't think the downs would be credited for the win.

so i guess the 3rd time was the charm afterall. geez. about time... does this mean i'm finally off the schnide in these polls..? suspicious.gif

i was just contemplating this morning whether or not i should change my avatar since i didn't think we won and was thinking of going with this-

but looks like the downs did get the credit...barely. yawn.gif

A woman has no right to be that hot,it's just not fair only because i can't have her...Dam she is so hot !!!  Up Up and away.

We do have a lot of news that could cause market reactions with the Supreme Court's ruling on Obamacare but IMO the mews will only back fill what the charts are telling us..

I voted down

Over in the weekly intra day thread everyone seems pretty bearish I was surprised to see the poll so bullish here.

Here's my humble and noobish opinions for the coming week.

I updated my bull bear chart and it looks to me that the 1340ish resistance held and we move down to 1280ish from here :

I thought it might fun to take a look at HDGE this week (it's an active bear ETF) That bullish ascending triangle and rising volume looks pretty bearish for the markets imho.

... and this one is an absolute experiment. I took a daily put to call chart, smoothed it out a little with a ma(3), and made the price transparent. The objective being that I was trying to determine a range and were we are in the range. I don't even know if it would be applicable though it's just an experiment I'm gonna watch/tweak for a while to see if it sheds any light.

Edit: wanted to say that this suggested to me that we were in a lower range and more puts would be bought for protection this week. Bearish for the markets.

as usual thanks for letting me practice my charts and prognostications

Do you have an Options ex strategy? I have been wanting to look into this. It seems like I read something about trading expiration's week but I can't remember what the strategy was.

General rule if the market is up the first 2 days watch out for whipsaw Wednesday and the rest of the week..The Thursday before options X week tends to be the low and we did have a nasty down day Thursday but you just have to be ready anything can happen and probably will.
