im still waiting for that 1500 said months ago. eh.

 

I doubt 1400 even with things coming off the highs, im more in the middle there..  High 1300s and maybe a straddle until earnings come around which wont all be pretty.

I was about 1 month off on my april/may prediction. Mind you I made this in the middle of march. 

This was just something I threw out there one afternoon. It doesn't mean much. 

My trades say much more than my predictions. thumbup.gif

Well it wasnt just you ichi;. and my prediction was close or spot on (depending on where you sit) for June.

Hard enviroment to predict anyways and will just get more difficult with whats coming down the pipe.

Anyways..  i abstain in my vote.  GL

beware though, i'm on one of those really horrific streak of losers on some of these polls (as one poster best put it - "bigbear is the leading contrarian indicator.") tongue.gif

 

anyways, the technicals are now pointing more bullish to me at this point as we've managed to get above some key resistance... i have to stop kiddin' myself into thinking we're gonna see this huge downturn. clearly that doesn't appear like it's gonna happen. and in fact, i'm now even open to the idea of us potentially seeing new recovery highs before the year is out... duh.gifdoesn't really make a lot of sense as it's a bit irrational -- nothing much has really changed from a few months ago to lead me to believe that things are "better" out there but we still continue to chug our way higher... as the 'ole saying goes: "if ya can't beat 'em, join e'm" eh? koolaid.gifkoolaid.gifkoolaid.gif

I'm not afraid to guess... 1400. Inv H&S plus possiible intervention by ECB plus current direction have me leaning to 1400 over 1300 about 60-40. That said, if things break badly today, we could see 1300 sometime Friday or next week. My overarching feeling coming into the summer was "wide-range choppy trade" pretty directionless on most macro time frames, so far that seems like something most who are leaning bearish or bullish can agree on, except of course for the "worst-case scenario" bears who typically tend to be doomy outliers to the crowd.
