Rando> That might have been a buy program about 5-6 minutes ago, almost 900K on SPY 1 min, not convinced... but if we see more of those quick spikes, they are probably buy programs.

We were forewarned,  yes?

Dunno but I mentioned SMH needing to play along to the upside today, one look at that chart suggests there may be some rotation into other names in the very short term.

Sort of, what happened after that is we tanked from SPY 132 and slowly carved out a low under 131.50 on what actually looked like SELL programs that started soon after the suspected buy program. The bar I mentioned was 1:04 PM. Just before/around 1:30 there was a probable sell program, 1:49, 1:59 may have been as well... hard to say as the volume isn't as clean as most of those programs tend to be. So all in all I'd say the post you referenced was an incorrect call by me.

What we were right about is today looking a lot like yesterday, which is almost word for word what MPR said late morning. I also observed around 11 or so that today looks like it might be "catch late longs in the morning and late shorts in the afternoon."

My God, what a ramp job into close.  With a 36% short interest on the SPY per Finviz stats there is plenty of paper to burn.

Good buying in Futures AH.

Next stop for ES could be around 1328 - 1334.

very true....this sideways crap is killing me...but on the other hand, it looks like serious consolidation, which could lead to a HUGE move next week....

Because then these guys would dominate...

The time period of the first 32 minutes from the open for me today.

Over trading 101 folks (well I make a ton of scalp trades a day but this is basically a trade every minute for 30 minutes straight which is a lot..... a lotttt of tradessss lmao)

Over trading

btw this is a prop firm so it doesn't show strike prices here but these are options (^ = call, * = put and the 25P means it expires on the 25 of may) ~ and yes, I am scalping options like a mad man at the black jack table. to blow your mind again, the account balance for this account is at $3889 atm so I am buying options on margin. Came out with a profit today somehow but I know that I will one day be burned pretty freaking badly if I continue buying options on margin.

moral of the story is don't over trade. I have so many trades here that were a loss on commissions or sold for a loss that should have been a profit. not to mention I simply made too many trades here to understand what the hell was going on

I for some reason thought it was closed Monday, I know it is open Friday because Scottrade sent out an email stating Monday it would be closed and nothing about Fridya

Closed below last support in Taiwan and China. Not looking good these days. I see more sudden drops coming up. If not this week then next week. One thing for sure is that the trend is down.
