I have investments in at 29.48 and with the China economic breakdown with copper, should I get out with a small loss? Do you see an increase in the foreseeable future?

What were your objectives when you bought this stock? Long term hold or just speculation that copper would go higher?

If you dont like what you are seeing happening in China and the price of copper, you can either sell, or write a covered call if you can trade options.

Long term hold. Is it common with commodities to have drastic up and downs? I am new to commodities and how they are affected.

here is a copper chart, you can see the big moves it has had over the past 5yrs:

If the global growth story keeps going and China keeps building, then prices should be ok.

There is some China data coming out next week that is worth watching out for.

Copper was doing well because China kept coming in with 8% growth, now those numbers are being reduced to something around 7%, which is still huge, but still lower than what the commodity bulls want to see.
