Hi Im new to the stock market.
I was just wondering if there is a book out there that includes stocks of the past and how they performed,

and lists things such as a company description, their yearly income statements, charts ect.

I want this to help me better understand what makes a good company.

Thanks

I would research 'Fundamental Stock Analysis' in Google and see what's available.

When I traded stocks I used 'Technical Analysis'.

While fundamental analysts examine earnings, dividends, new products, research and the like, technical analysts examine what investors fear or think about those developments and whether or not investors have the wherewithal to back up their opinions; these two concepts are called psych (psychology) and supply/demand.

There is no book, but all that stuff is available freely all over the internet.

Want to charts?

finviz.com has charts, or bigcharts.com, you can see historical charts to your hearts content.

Want financial data? finance.yahoo.com or stoxx.com

What makes a good company? Growth and expectations of growth.

It depends for what you are looking for.

finance.yahoo.com usually has everything covered including a scanner to filter FA results.
