there's several reasons but one of the most basic reasons is the fundamental concept of supply and demand.

nothing just goes up, up, up forever. There's always pullbacks reversals at some point.

Unfortunately, it looks like AAPL broke below the major trend line today. Hopefully it goes above it tomorrow since it's been fairly low volume selling but it doesn't look pretty right now.

He says that he is positive AAPL will become profitable again but he's also hoping that he doesn't get a heart attack in the meantime just watching it fall. laughing.gif

That was a bold call, I hope this isn't his entire portfolio because he is in for some turbulent times ahead if it is.  Eventually will get back above $610, but not likely for awhile the way things are shaping up.

WHY WILL THEY NOT FIX THEIR PLATFORM SRSLY

And the iphone app keeps changing quote stream settings from real time to 20 minutes delayed whenever I reopen it. Kind of annoying....

Honestly liked ToS better a few months ago.

call them and bi**h about it and maybe get a discount on trades or something.  if its a consistent issue for u and you seem like a regular trader so they should want to keep u happy..

Try Etrade. ive rarely had much probs with their software.  And i trade with my iphone etrade app as well.  has this voice recognition software that is surprisingly accurate.

If i say 10 shares of Apple it loads everything in and prepares me to execute.

also, they improved their charting too so its ok.  not as good as power etrade but its not too damn bad for an iphone app

anyway, numbers out of Germany arent too shabby.

If US and get some good sentiment numbers and what not, could be turnaround tuesday.

i believe mjoke called it saying not much lower than 12700 on the dow.

hope hes right as im in calls that i bought in too early last friday.

I use power Etrade too with both the iPhone and iPad apps... I think the iPhone app is one of the best of several out there, although it does have its quirks. I've used it for some crucial trades in a pinch. I'm surprised, however, at the lackluster iPad app... it is pretty, and has great potential, but oddly enough the iPhone app has more usable charts, better after hours trading, alerts, and it's my goto mobile choice. I wish they'd enhance the iPad version.

cool some1 else here uses it as well.  I like the live feed to cnbc as well.  but a 3g simcard is a must.  If i try to do things too fast, especially when i have real time quotes on, it can kill the app.

I always make sure i turn of all other apps as well to not drag on the processor.

never tried the Ipad one though.  I like the phone app cuz i can wake up in middle of night and check prices if i need to without opening my laptop and waking up my gf.

they seem to be updating it frequently.  when I 1st got it it was fairly basic, now it has a lot more options and tools available.  good to see.

Frenchies causing a little headwind into Germany's numbers..  futures tapered off a little.no matter, all depends on US numbers anyway

We're short term oversold here the stars are lining up to get a nice bounce here next couple days even to work all this off.  I covered some shorts that were beaten down good yesterday but some others I'm just going to average into here on these bounces.  I'm sure this whole facebook thing will work perfectly into working these conditions off.  I'm still feeling we hit 137 somehow, maybe that's a crapshoot at this point but I would be welcoming to see to reload again.

Seems apple has turned into a bad investment and I have turned into a bag holder. Im not sure what to do I was under the impression that the company and stock were good I guess I was wrong.

Just knock this crap off already about AAPL being a bad investment.  The only "bad" thing about what's going on right now is your position.  You seriously need a new hobby man if you're not going to open up to how things work.  This black and white way in which you paint a stock's value is ridiculously naive.

Interesting TrimTabs analysis basically saying the selloff we've seen recently has been money coming out of stocks to go into Facebook. He predicts a rebound post-FB IPO in stocks and gold.

Will Greece rain on our parade? I don't think so, but who knows.
