just bumpin' this for marco.

 

haven't voted yet... been on a little bit of a hiatus from the action this past week, so i haven't really gotten a chance to look at the charts. will check back in either later today or tomm to get in my vote... obviously things are looking quite bearish out there after these past two weeks decline, but i did mention in my post in last week's thread that we could see a bounce coming soon. maybe this is the week? i'll have to see... but last i checked the charts the daily, weekly and monthly were all flashing very bearish signals. but, that doesn't mean we can't get a bounce in there. with markets down 7 out of the past 8 days it does seem to favor a bounce. at this time i'm leaning up to flat. but i will make my final decision later as i don't want to let my gut to tell me, but rather the charts. wink.gif

well i just got around to look through some of the charts this morning (i'll try and have them posted in my journal later if i have time) and well honestly nothing really looks all that exciting to me even for a weekly bounce here... just about all the major indexes have broken down below some big support levels that i have been looking at. only maybe the naz is showing the most promising of 'em all... the weekly found some nice support at that 2900 level and bounced. however the monthly broke and closed below a major support line... albeit the month is not over and this can certainly rally back, but this is looking kind of ominous to me. tough call here... hmm.gif

 

think i'll give it one more day before putting my official vote in...

I hope nobody actually places any bets on my commentary (well actually in the last two weeks I hope they did)... but that was just luck and I digress.

 

I have updated my Bull/Bear chart...

Out of all of the individual stocks and sectors/sub sectors (almost 60) I track, all have turned bearish except for 4 charts.

 

So I am sticking with my S&P 1275 target for now and voting DOWN.

 

There has bee a rotation out of growth and into safety that supports my target. There is good commentary here.

 

BUT... seller beware, there is also an argument that can be made that we are over-sold...

okay well i'm in now... honestly i could have gone either way on this one, but i went ahead and voted up for this week. suspicious.gif

this is the naz weekly chart that i was talking about yesterday that looked the most promising to me... we bounced right off a major trend line here at that 2900 area and ended the week with a doji. so this could see a bounce...

however on the monthly naz we did bust a major support line... this is the one that looks a bit ominous to me. month however isn't done, so this could certainly bounce it's way back. we'll have to watch and see.

all the other charts are looking quite bearish tho... nothing to suggest that we're going to see any meaningful bounce. i'm def. bearish in the bigger picture, so i think we are still headed lower, but not without a few dead cat bounces here and there... it won't just go straight down. with the markets down 7 out of the past 8 sessions this is kinda begging for a few days bounce imo. btw, i'm really liking stevie's target of 1275 s&p sometime this summer...
