seeing as we're on the eve of the 2-yr anniversary of the "flash crash" i thought i'd put this up here...

 

so, i was just browsing through some of the posts from the old intraday thread and was amazed at reading everyone's reaction on that day... i remember refreshing the pages here and you'd have like 10-20 new posts show up every sec. it was pure craziness!

 I am just getting ready for my ceremonial preparations to pray to the bear, black swan, and anomaly gods for some type of algo malfunction in the upcoming week.

I just want to revive this. I'm watching this series now... Strange that the VIX climbed 27% that day, it was coincidentally up exactly that much yesterday.

I'm so excited, I hope there's another one lol. I can't believe it was three years ago. I was just looking in wonder on the news about what had happened and lately I've been watching YouTube videos of the event.

I guess the closest we got to a flash crash was the hacked AP tweet but that only lasted five minutes.
