As a Canadian the one thing that really has got me hot under the collar is when we give companies a tax break so they come into the country only to have them take what they can get from the company and then leave with that and the taxbreak. That happened this past yr with CAT in London, ON. They took over the company less than 2 yrs ago and got nice taxbreaks to do it. Now they are gone with whatever they could grab from the company (patents and whatever) and the workers are left high and dry. They should have had to pay back that money or been forced to stay for a period of time so that we atleast got good value for those taxbreaks.

Was reading about Ireland yesterday and it sounds like they are in a world of hurt as well.

As a Canadian ?   I WANT TO BE A CANADIAN (papers filed this week - phew at last)

Ireland got EU stimulus so was ok for a while.. stimulus expired no more money so now trouble looms.

As for Canada and its taxbreaks.. well it does work but what CAT did was wrong. I am thinking of a Pharma company that got tens of millions in incentives (can't say what one as they have my pension)

in Ontario and i'd like to think that an agressive approach would be taken with regard to incentives given. By this I mean ok you want to shut down but if you want to sell your products here then pay the money back and compensate the employees. Corporations tend to have a lack of moral fibre and need to be forced to behave correctly.

I think linked in is better than FB and has potential as a professional morph.. kinda like Alibaba

Used linked in since they started.. and more than FB.

Only thing I don't like about them is that the subscriptions don't offer too much compared to the free version.

But I think it would be a good move for them to buy MWW.

Did you guys see Eduardo Saverin renounced his US citizenship? What an epic douche maneuver, although in his shoes I'd probably do the same thing if his loot was watered down half as much as that dumb FB movie made it seem.

It looks like a perfect megaphone type pattern. That means it should go down, right?
