I agree. Up we go. I think all we've seen is a slight break in a trend that has been going up since the first of the year.

haven't really gotten a chance to look through the charts this w/e, and i probably won't be able to since i'll be hella busy taken care of things... but, last i checked the charts were looking pretty bearish as we couldn't get above that resistance that i had mentioned last week. we had a pretty sizable drop last week (think it was our biggest drop of the year if i'm not mistaken?). and i think this momentum is going to carry on through to the downside in the week ahead. that said i do think we will get a bounce, but just not sure next week is the week. we need to test some lower levels first imo. looks like that old adage of sell in may and go away is coming to fruition at least early on...

My very simple method for swing trading long/short positions looks like this:

 

On a weekly chart if the price is above the ma(10) and the MACD histogram is positive I'm long, if they are below and negative I am short.

 

Today I am officially short.

 

I voted up but clearly don't know WTF I am doing with these weekly votes. Last week I voted up also, then proceeded to have a really good week trading longs only when the market finished down, so I'm guessing it would have been epic if I had been only into shorts.

kudos once again to those of you who went with down. great job fellas.
