Stock Market Intraday Chat: Apr 23rd - 27th - Page 8

This 10%-15% correction was all that was needed for those who were too afraid to go long AAPL at +$600 could go in now. I am assuming the new targets coming out tomorrow will be $1,000,000. lol

Warren Buffet said it best, greedy when other are fearful! AAPL Longs had everyone against them, but will come out with a nice profit tomorrow! And given how last quarter went, it will slowly melt up as China begins to unlock and more countries are carrying the products.

The October quarter will be a tough one given last year's situation with people waiting for the newest iPhone. Until then, it's an AAPL bull market. Although given macroeconomic headwinds, may hedge with some market shorts.

i know you can do it! tongue.gif you really need to add some indicators, trend lines, studies, and more commentary on your charts if you're going to put them in here... if you cannot adhere to these requests then could you keep your charts in your own thread? just trying to help out. if you need assitance with any of this just ask. we're all here to help. good luck with it!

Nice call. 3s converted to 7s. Price stops on 7s, not usually on 3s.

By the time price hits 7, all intraday shorts from 00 are stopped out.

Study the rule of 3s from the MrTopStep group for /ES trading.

nowwhat, no one cares about what happened in the past an hour after it's happened. we know what happened in the past. stop telling us what has happened. the past is irrelevant.

In my opinion, Candlesticks are in essence BS :

Personally I much prefer Bar Charts, lol :

Now just watch for the LOATHING that THIS view stirs up here !

If you think candlesticks are bs than you should also

think bars are bs as well because they give the same exact information as candlesticks.

So it really doesn't matter which one you use.

F you aapl. You're gonna drag the whole market up with you and put me out of my short spread on spy tomorrow morning.

I knew better than to short spy (effectively aapl as far as my stop is concerned tomorrow).

Buying program set after the market close yesterday?

Once we broke into the new cycle starting at 1363, We had quite a pattern develop. Makes me think it was a buying program.

Here's some details about the days price action:

-Measuring the price after the close; once its broke into the 1363 and above "auction": price deviated back to 1362-64 (5) times.

-Measuring time in between each return: we get (3) consecutive 3.5 hour gaps in between each deviation until Tuesday morning.

-Since Tuesday A.M., The price deviated back to 1362-64 (2) times, first time was 6 hours later, next touch was 5.5 hours later.

-3 consecutive "swing" highs were all 2 points apart. (1367-1369-1371)

I'll name this: "Pre Apple Earnings Program"

Recently I've been looking over the amazing wealth of data that Nanex has compiled from years of real-time stock quote data from all the exchanges, and analyzed for HFT and algo patterns... some of it is pretty scary.  Like intentional flooding of quote data to introduce delays.

http://www.nanex.net/FlashCrash/OngoingResearch.html

This one is interesting, showing the increase in activity of HFT/algo's from 2007 to 2012:

Serously man wtf you should stop posting those weird charts no one needs to see a 10 year old chart for some stock i dont care about.

Yes, they give you more information than a line chart, but they give the same information as a bar chart (all the elements of high, low, open, and close are there in both candlestick charts and bar charts).
