I'd be careful about falling love with major moves in either direction.
Max Pain is 139.00 .... as you can see over the last two days we've narrowly rotated at and near it. The game becomes decay decay decay as you get later in the week on OPEX it would seem.
I had to delete my etrade app from my phone. No more trading even with the right idea the timing is off by a day for me here. Tried quick overnight had to bail early.
Is there anyone here playing this right ? Everyone on my twitter stream is getting sucked in and losses are adding up. Soon as it looks like one way BAM. It changes.
Yeah... I was expecting continuiation on the post numbers dump, had to close out some puts for losers even though I still liked the market for lower levels, that recovery was way too vigorous... probably would have ended up exiting higher for a bigger loss, it was pretty convincing... then shorted again off the top when the 1385s couldn't hold for long, and the 11 o'clock reversal skirred me out, in part because of the first failed trade... need to focus on getting that first trade to work, it's soured my day twice this week now. But the bottom line for today and yesterday is the price action seems even less organic than it has been recently.
If AAPL weren't AAPL and heading into earnings... that daily looks pretty schizo. I'd call it bearish with a possible evening star type candle yesterday, also a doji then a gap down, and rejection under the daily 8 EMA... time to watch key downside levels for possible accelerated AAPL selling this afternoon. As for the indexes... I give them two middle fingers.
thats slammed.. feels more like a tickle
My PL day is still positive and would of been 3K more if i was quicker on the move.
I was on the right side, then reversed as it reversed and for some reason i reversed again without my confirmation.
So you're down an open 16.75 points right now?
12 contracts x 12.5 = $150/tick
$2,500 / $150 = 16.7 points
The entire range for the day is 17 points.
What did you do, buy the very top at 90 and hold all the way down to 73?
