Is it time to dip the toe in ??? eek.gif

With a stronger $UUP dollar ,, and weak $FXE ,, you wont see the markets get any kind of big bounces near term imo

Probably not, I'm waiting for Europe to finally stop swallowing knives in 7 minutes. Then we see if big money turns on any buy programs or lets us fall asleep for the rest of the day... the two most likely scenarios IMO. AAPL might be trying to carve out an intraday bottom here, but it's still dicey. Silver down 2%, if it gets a head of steam, I might take the whole day off seeing as how I hesitated on the shorts off the open.

Will NQ find "confort" at the lower channel trendline!?

Hmm, aapl starting to look attractive at this dip... it's approaching its 50ma around $600, and looks like it may have a bit of support there.  The question is, how low can it go?hmm.gif

Playing puts and I'm worried about what Ben says at 1pm.. Trying to break even from entering early and he could totally send this into the green..

What do you guys think he will say?

I like the sidelines right now and in front of Ben. Watch for buy programs, if you see them you might want to eject. This could be a relief bounce, not seeing any big buy programs running from what I can tell. That said, Europe closed, we moved up immediately, and breadth has recovered a half-decent amount. If we get a failed retest of the lows, it would be a pretty good time to exit or take some off to cut your risk exposure. My gut says we at least retest the lows and the day session highs are in, buyers looking unconvincing here, silver perched on the edge trying to sing an audible canary song. But those buy programs can change all that in an instant.

i just want to point out what i said before about the margin compression coming into this earnings, and we have seen this with some of the earnings so far.

Keep in mind we had a EPS expansion in the US coming into this Q which NEEDS to be justified by the earnings, while AA and a few others have been okay, the eyes are on next week.

EU has not had a EPS expansion yet, due to the inherit issues which is keeping it down.

Going to make them call options for earnings very profitable. Dip before earnings and then a pop on earnings report with call options skyrocketing.

Intraday, AAPL has $610 as a major resistance point. I saw it at $609.60 a few minutes ago before sliding to $608.50. I hope it ends the day above $610, that would make me rest easier over the weekend.

Ya that 610 level is a demand test on the 15min.
