Traded BPI this morning .... sold waaaaaay too soon as always.  Snagged like 40 ticks out of a 220 tick move.  What a short cover uggh.  Interesting company though .... $287 million in cash, zero debt.  That 17% short interest surely lightened up a bit today.

Still eyeballing AAPL.  Over 20 million in stop volume on the 60min chart since yesterday plus a new value area formed on that chart. Some serious shares changing hands.

AAPL had not had a serious flush since Oct of 2011. When it comes, it will be ugly.

I say we see a $100 move.

I concur.

Today seems to be range bound with a bias to the bears despite the gap up.

This may explain why AAPL has not exploded today !!!  I wonder how much this will impact the stock ?

Justice Department sues Apple over e-book price-fixing -- repo

The U.S. Justice Department sued Apple Wednesday over alleged electronic book price-fixing, according to a report on The Wall Street Journal’s website.

The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court by the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division, alleges Apple and the publishers reached an agreement where retail price competition would cease, retail e-books prices would increase significantly and Apple would be guarantee a 30 percent “commission” on each e-book sold, the Journal said.

The agreement between Apple and the publishers allegedly occurred ahead of the introduction of the iPad in 2010 and as Amazon.com had driven e-book pricing down to $9.99 for newly released and best-selling e-books, the Journal said, citing the details of the lawsuit.

A settlement involving some of the publishers is expected to be filed Wednesday, the newspaper said.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is expected to discuss “a significant antitrust matter” at a press conference later Wednesday, according to the report.

Sue AAPL for what? What ever the amount is, its pocket change for AAPL. :P

Yeah, antitrust sounds scary, but AAPL could pay any fine 100 times over.

Edit: Might see a dip/pullback when Holder speaks though.

Not sure what to think about that silver drop as we have not taken out yesterdays lows, but im taking it as a sign of more downside so i hedged my longs. Is it possible that silver will now* be negatively correlated to the market once again? money may have come in yesterday into silver, but if the market keeps going up maybe silver will not have the chance to become attractive, or is rotational money going to pour in no matter what?

There's no volume, no sellers and no buyers. I just want it to hit $640 so I can sell, maybe EOD or tomorrow we will see it start to move

Funny thought just occured to me... Im chatting with my brother at the moment, I need to borrow his GPS garmin because Im doing some driving next week.

He lives a little far from me, so I would need to fill up gas which will cost $65 for my car, but I can go and buy a pretty good GPS  for $90.

High gas prices might force me to actually go and buy a product because its cheaper to buy from the nearest store than drive 50min away to go and get it from him. laughing.gif

goodluck on that, my 2hr chart looking more and more bearish. I think we test yesterdays lows still today at the 626 area

I use Waze (http://www.waze.com/) on Samsung Galaxy Note. It might even save a couple of traffic tickets.

This is big enough to replace the GPS and gives live alerts. You can get a car dock and even play live music from net.

That is the part that is got my brain wondering why didn't they just settle this quietly on a Friday afternoon and pay the fine and move on..This part here :

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is expected to discuss “a significant antitrust matter” at a press conference later Wednesday, according to the report...  This is a bit puzzling..
