Next step is to break out of that 1629 - 1631 range....Im thinkin we will......Sold off almost all my stock holdings these past few days,,,,,,they were starting to smell a lil fishy ..........GLTA!!!

if gold (/gc) takes out 1645, I would consider that a breakout and would be looking for 1685-1700 shortly thereafter

This break past 1630 is pretty telling ....Im a buyer here as well...........GLTA!!!

Definitely agree, that balance area 1610-1630 was a real proving ground. They tried juicing it through 1630, took a few tries. Now we might get back into 1610s if we get bad Fed speak today, but I expect it to move up soon. It is making the challenge of closing over 1560-1590 area look like child's play!

Not so sure it will be bullish,  but I think the chances for a more 'non event' are greater.........There is a somewhat larger gathering of peeps that believe they(FOMC types) may tip their hand as to more easing of somekind.......I kinda think they are more likely to harp on Congress to do more as Ben did last week....

my bet is they say they will remain ready to help if need be but right now they need some help from other avenues.................my 2 pennies.......

I also believe that peeps are just not satisfied with a whole lot of nothing going on to save the economic world so to speak.....They will start buying into the yellow once again to save what they have..........................GLTA!!!

http://www.indexuniverse.com/sections/blog/9706-why-gld-and-gdx-are-completely-unrelated.html

trading GLD vs GDX - yes there's a difference.

posting this b/c i caught a nice play with /GC  premarket & w/ the optimal play for me trading GLD puts... except i bought puts for GDX instead which did not perform at all the way i expected it to perform. GLD had the nice sell off i was expecting. GDX flatlined and just made me pissed off beyond all reason.

hppefully to those who dont know, now u know there's a difference.

from your prior posts it seems like you added a bunch of gold while it was in the mid 1600's (around 1610-1630)... Currently at 1580ish.. did you average down? what is your average price?
