the ipo is set at 38 dollars a share. I think its going to gap up to maybe 50-60. So much hype though wouldnt be surprised to see a gap of 70-80 a share. If it gaps up too much Im not touching it.

I have a question though. Can I buy FB with margin?

I just tried to put in an order with scottrade and its not letting me. How do i put in an order?  Do i have to wait till it starts trading? Every second counts.

Also anyone know what time it opens for trading?

I think they said 10:30 for trading

You can buy on margin or however else you like to buy.

The old me wouldnt even consider touching facebook but after seeing apple stock the past month I dont think buying only stocks that have low valuations work all the time. It doesnt make much logical sense to buy a stock with as high of a valuation as FB but the stock market isnt logical and undervalued stocks can keep going down no matter how much money they make or how much dividend they give out.

A stock is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it and for now at least people want facebook it seems.

Merrill Lynch said I can place my limit trade tomorrow morning at 8am EST.  We will see if the guy was right or not but he says they have been answering that question all day long.  I assume it wouldn't actually happen (or not happen) until 11.

I am confused... Are you saying its going to open at 50-60? coz I placed a Limit at $44 considering the 20% jump in the recent ipo release but now I have having second thoughts...

What would you consider a ideal limit price would be?

I think FB will make for a fantastic short once the funds get out of it. When do options come out for it? Around a week after the IPO?

You got this right, apparently... the following was Tweeted just now by Madison Montana:

"$FB Some brokers taking limit orders as of 7:00am. Facebook currently bid $55.00, ask $70.00, shares priced at $38.00."

I was not interested at $40, even less so at that bid, and at that ask? Hope you get a short filled I guess.

I bet the IV on those options is around 150-200 out of the gate, if LNKD option debut is any indication.
