I change my mind, Mortimer is correct. Pennies have an inherent advantage for percentile gains...and losses!

                               Finding and researching pennies is just as, (or even more) difficult than a the higher priced stocks.

Thread Starter 

So far 2 things have come out of the discussion on this.

First is that we generally like to think in terms of gains.  It is hard to pick a stock that you think will go down.

Second is that we tend to disagree on the advantage or lack of advantage of low price picks.

For March picks I am going to again ask for 2 picks but both long.  One pick below .25 and preferred below .10

The second pick above .25 and preferred above 1.00

If I ask for below .10 and above 1.00 it would leave out a lot of good stocks.
