I have to disagree, if this is a Canadian stock picking contest then one should be able to pick ANY stock on the tsx or tsxv. It is just as difficult to pick a .05 cent stock that will move as it is to pick a 25 dollar stock, if it was that easy we would all be filthy rich. If someone starts to complain that someone won because of a .05 cent selection then may I suggest they join and also pick a stock in the same price range. I agree that certain rules should be implemented however being forced to pick a stock due to it being above a certain price point is not right.
I change my mind, Mortimer is correct. Pennies have an inherent advantage for percentile gains...and losses!
Finding and researching pennies is just as, (or even more) difficult than a the higher priced stocks.
