Ok, I'm thinking about going back to the well again.  I still have that play from FFIV in mind it looks very weak still.  PCLN bounced up today but the volume is still weak as I hoped it would...  

 

710W Puts.     Any PCLN vets taking another stab at it?

Stopped out @ 6.

 

This thing is a beast..  I think it's time for me to take a step back trading has been bad last yesterday & today.

teh noob managed to make $250 today!

 

btw i couldnt buy more options, i asked on live support and it turns out i can only make 3 purchases/day if i have <$25,000

 

does that happen to you aswell?

It's not 3 purchases a day, it's 3 round trips per 5 business day rolling period for margin accounts under $25k. That means if you made 3 round trips (buying and selling a position), you will have to wait 5 days before you are able to trade round trip positions again. You can either buy and hold overnight (risky) or change to a cash account where options settle the next day.

isnt it that night? I cant DT as much as i want as long as they settle at end of day.. thus crediting me for the next day.

I have a cash acct on the side never really used it..

ok, I think I might be looking to take over Nate's position for HSM member looking for the most punishment.

Had picked these up before the close

 

IBM - 205 Calls @ 0.15.   Looking for dead cat bounce in the morning here

 

 

Seeing some big orders AH -

Lol TDA has a funny way calculating gain % but this is pretty neat anyways. I shorted 4 AAPL puts yesterday (first two were when it was ITM at open. Shoulda shorted more at open but added two more after AAPL broke 590 yesterday). Covered them today at open. IMO as long as this volatility continues I'm just going to write options.

Yeah, the funds are available the next day (in the case of options) at the open to trade with. If you are doing stock, it's 3 days.

dam it i meant i can DT.. where the hell did that T come from. lol.

 

ya they settle that night, and i had to request to open one, when really the broker should offer one from the moment you inquire.

but hey they want to make their profit off the margin associated..

 

ya i dont do stock.. its a only options account.. i wish they allowed futures trades on a cash account, then i would really use it.

Why do you want a cash account for futures when you can do as many round trips as is in a margin account with no 3 round trip restriction?

cuz i dont wanna have to click between accts man..  shhesh.

 

no cash account dont have any restrictions period. Its all settles that night .. in regards to options.

I think futs are the same.. not sure.

 

 

eh my TOS platform likes to crash on me the past 2 days.. everytime i put in a order and it goes through.. it crashes.. lol

To my knowledge, no broker will give you futures access with a cash account. And if they do, they are idiots. Kinda moot for you though anyway as I'm sure you have over the $25K of equity to get around the PDT rule.

ya i do but there have been times where ive gotten raped and went below and worked my way back.. and swings and crap ya know. 

Its not a concern now for my main but for my smaller acct it is. its annoying, and is why i have multiple accts for this instance. lol.
